This cache may be accessed in the summer by a good hike or in the winter with a good pair of snow shoes. Or by gaining access to the Mary Jane - Winter Park ski lifts. But first you must solve the puzzle below to figure out where it is.
Once upon a time there were two young brothers, who lived high up on the mountain. They both owned quaint little cabins in the trees of the Colorado Rockies. One day they decided to go out for a bit of fresh air, when all of the sudden they were attacked by a pair of wandering skis. Where these skis came from, they didn’t know, but it really sent them for a loop. After a bit of recovery, they were back at their favorite past time, skiing. As they were headed down the mountain, the older brother, Duncan, noticed that his younger brother kept skiing to the right. “What’s the matter, Phillip? Are your skis on straight?” Duncan asked. “ I’m not sure, but they sure are taking me for a ride.” Phillip said with a joyful laugh. You see, it didn’t matter how they skied, just as long as they were skiing, they were happy. As they went down the beautiful mountainside, they noticed a small clearing beyond the edge of the trees. They had never noticed it before, but they decided to check it out. There was so much fresh powder that the two brothers looked like a symphony on skis as they swooshed from one side of the clearing to the other. Duncan smiled as he made his way down the mountain and was so happy that his brother had called him this morning and said, “Let’s go skiing.” It was definitely worth the short journey they had made to find such a splendid paradise of snow. These two were, in fact, so dedicated to the sport that they each had their own bumper stickers made for there green and white Jeeps. Duncan’s read, “Have Skis Will Travel” and Phillip’s read, “Any Snow, Any Mountain.” Every where they went, they took there skis with them. Only once did they forget. They went to visit their family on the west coast and didn’t realized that there were mountains there as well. Indeed, they had to try it out. So they went and rented California skis and took to the slopes. But, still nothing would ever compare to the magnificent mountains of Colorado. So it was, that these two brothers and friends skied until they could ski no more. What to do when the snow is gone, they wondered. Why, geocaching, of course!

I'm in the process of solving as many geoarts and Puzzles in the Texas area and some neighboring states.I'm leaning to start in Colorado Springs and travel thru Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and finally Texas and take about 10 days doing so. My main focus would be to sign the oldest caches in each state as I'm very close to finishing my Jasmir and something I would like to complete this year. Anything else I sign on this adventure is just another bonus in my books. You Never Know Where The Road Will Take You or who you will meet on your path. The hard part for some is actually getting on the road. I’m not afraid of the road; I play on the road!

Here in the area for a couple weeks and had this puzzle on my radar. After finally getting a good GZ I then had to find a plan of attack. After talking to a local guy I changed my plan and started off up a trail. After about 10 minutes I grab for my water and Oh Know I am off on what I believe to be a 3 hr hike and no H2O. After going back down I am finally ready to attempt this journey again.
Did I say I was told to watch for bear and moose and that the one that told me had himself been chased by a moose on this mountain, so I am packing pepper spray and a knife like that would really help. At least it added enough confidence for me to attempt this cache. Oh, and I am going for it alone and am 68 years young.
Well after about 3/4 of the way up the first lift trail some biking youngster started waving at me from there lift chair and said that they had just spotted a moose a little ways back down. Just what I needed to hear!!
Ok so everything went as planned until I was about 900 feet from the cache when I see what I am in for. Could I have taken a better approach or a different trail, I really don't know since I do not know this mountain but I do know what I must do and do I did.
To make a long story short I made it to GZ and found the cache really quick. I will say the cache was in really good shape and just waiting for the next adventurer to come and sign on to this cache.
Big thanks to the CO for placing this cache and for the puzzle to add to the fun. This cache gets a fav. point for sure.

Great closing weekend and very nice to get this one of my list! The skiing to and from this one is a bit out of my comfort zone, but with a muggle guide, we made the find! The container was buried in snow and ice, so we had to expose it, then kick it loose. A great adventure! Cheers!

Got this one on my second attempt. Rode the Zephyr chair up then biked to the top of the chair the final is located near. From there I was able to hike down and make the find. SL, LS/TN. After hanging out for a few minutes I scrambled back up to my bike and took a fun run down back to the base. All told I rode 13 miles to get this cache. Could have been shorter but where is the fun in that.

Went for it but turned back due to lightning. Of course the storm blew over as soon as I was down. Will try again in a few days.

TFTC. Out on M.J. run is always fun whether skiing or hiking but will admit it takes less energy when snow covered. OF-Erad & k9 are pros in the geo world, always helpful & great motivators.

Out on another caching adventure with OF-Erad. Today we headed to Winter Park to get a few targeted caches before the snow starts flying. We met up with Psych01 at Sunspot and after finding another cache, headed towards this one which was our primary target for the day. We had a very logical route planned; however, we were thwarted by construction closing the roads on the mountain. Luckily we found another path headed the direction we wanted to go and off we went. Eventually we got close, then joyously made the find right where it was supposed to be. Psych01 was slightly behind us as she is certainly more cautious in picking a route than me and Erad. We spent a little time here enjoying the views and deciding which route to take to the next cache on our list. This cache earns it's terrain rating and is one I won't soon forget! It's absolutely awesome to find a cache that hasn't been found in so long!! TFTC SL

One of many finds today while out on another outstanding geocaching adventure with K9jayhawk and PSYCH01, who joined us for a few caches for a bit.
This was the main goal of our cache run today. Our primary path was closed for heavy construction, so, we had to come up with a plan "B" to get to the cache. It turned out this route was better than the original plan. We picked up the TB to get it moving again.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find today. SL, TFTC!

Figured out this puzzle quite a while ago, but never got over here to look for it. Eventually picked a day last spring, and was going to try for it, but the wind off Panorama was so strong they closed the lift, and there was a lot of wind crust so they did me a favor. Finally just hiked to it today, and had a great time on the mountain. Thanks for a creative puzzle and fine hide!

I'm going to take a chance and post a photo that may be a spoiler (but I don't think so) of WingsAndTales going for this cache. She was fairly sure she knew where it was located under an avalanche of snow. I'm still not sure exactly how she knew, but she was correct. Good thing too, because even knowing where it was located, it took us well over 30 minutes to get to it. The terrain rating was right on for this one. I found out that I hate side-hilling whether I'm hiking or skiing. Thanks for a challenging cache. Swapped trackables.

Spoiler photo? Probably not.
