It is a good place to view various birds and wildlife as well as fishing along the Colorado River... Years ago there used to be water in some of the area but not now anymore... During the spring runoff it may be difficult to access the cache depending upon if the river floods over its banks. This area is connected to the concrete walkway that runs from Fruita to nearly Palisade. Hike in only. BYOP.

A beautiful (dry) day to go find this series! I decided to start in the middle. Glad I did! I would say this one was the second hardest to find, just because I had to crawl around on my hands and knees for a bit. Glad it's too early for the bugs and high water! Great area! Saw a couple deer, geese, blue heron rookery, and heard an owl (couldn't spot him!). Walked through grass, willows, and downed trees. Got some cockle burrs and poked by thorns. Enjoyed every minute! Thanks for these great caches and the time and ingenuity it took to place them!

Tucked back a ways but Makena has spotted Kermit! Seems to still have all his color and he’s healthy!

Out for a walk and it turned into an adventure. We found all of these "bone" caches today and signed as "KC + Sly". OK, this wasn't a "bone" cache but it was in the field so we searched and found. Amazing on how just the right angle reveals the cache but no other view. Thanks for placing these caches!
