This cache is located in an area that is very seldom visited. There are several ways to get here. I approached it from the rest area but had to do some backtracking to find a way around the many waterways and backwaters.

This is a two stage multi that ends up by a small bass lake. At least I was told it had bass in it, I plan to find out this summer.

The final is about three quarters of a mile from the rest area, as the crow flies. If you plan to approach it from there go to the fence along the freeway ASAP and follow it as far as you can. There is a small waterway between the path and the fence but there are a couple of places to cross. This way you'll avoid the backtracking. If you go for this one during bug season you will be bug food so bring plenty of repellant.

There are plenty of areas to access the Colorado River, all of them without peeps around...lots of quacks and honks though.

Congrats on the FTF happydog!

Owner Maintenance 05/28/2015 By DArR
I replaced the first stage today. It isn't in the same place so I submitted a request to move it and will enable it as soon as it gets approved.

First stage is missing. Will try another way to display it.

An interesting place indeed! Lucky for me, not buggy yet. Off the beaten path for sure. Cache has a bit of a problem of which the owner is aware.
I wouldn't recommend coming after this one for awhile. I think it was supposed to be Disabled but it didn't show that way on my iPhone app.
All's well that ends well and I got a hike in after kayaking anyway, and I saw a beaver in one of the small water channels (the one I was currently stepping over!) and an osprey caught a fish right where a fisherman was casting (maybe the very one that was swimming toward his hook!). Any day that has great wildlife sightings is a special one.
