The cache is not at the posted coords, but is a good place to park. This is an offset cache where one must first find the Reference Point then compute the coordinates of the cache.
The Reference Point is the SW 1/16th corner marker (aluminum marker set in concrete) in Section 11, Township 13S, Range 67W. Click to verify coordinates (100 ft. error allowed.)

From the Reference Point, go, or measure, 38 perches plus 6 links south (true), thence 43 chains plus 39 links plus 9 barleycorns east (true.) You can check your computations (100 ft. error allowed) on Geochecker.com.

There may be multiple approach points for the final, but I parked on the street about 0.25 miles to the west. You will be looking for a small camoed lock-lock container.

Out with WingsAndTales on a sunny and chilly day. We were looking for some multi-caches today, and did well. Thanks for the interesting surveying class and hide!

I have looked at this one a few times but didn't get serious about solving it until a couple days ago. I got a couple lucky hits on my searches and got the green light from the checkers. COpackrat and I took advantage of the good weather today and found the final in good shape. TFTC

That was fun and interesting. I was only 25 feet off. Learned something new. Tftc!

Fixed geochecker for reference point. Apparently evince is no longer in service.

The 1st stage checker link is down this AM
Don't know why this note posted twice. I tried some projections online, but topped out in a back yard of a house. Went to check my RP calculations 'in the field' ... they were only off E-W by a few feet so my math is to blame as far as the back yard business goes Wink

ED. 15jul. Oy-ae, no. Calling what I did a math error would be an insult to dum-dums everywhere. In fact, I can kinda' envision an AI/virtual reality future in which the geochecker reaches out a hand and smacks me upside the head.
Well, and as if to confirm it, at the final I set about searching all of six feet from where I should have; and spent a half hour circling the wrong way back to the pod!
