Native Americans were the first inhabitants of the state of Montana. Groups included the Crow in the south-central area, the Cheyenne in the southeast, the Blackfeet, Assiniboine and Gros Ventres in the central and north-central area and the Kootenai and Salish in the west. The smaller Pend d'Oreille and Kalispel tribes lived near Flathead Lake and the western mountains, respectively.
Montana was the scene of the Native Americans' last effort to keep their land, and the last stand of U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer was fought near the present day town of Hardin. Montana was also the location of the final battles of the Nez Perce Wars.

If there is a cache 245 ft from my room, I guess I had better find it! Thanks for the smiley.

Out geocaching on this beautiful day. We flew to BWI airport Sunday afternoon for my Huggle's business trip to Baltimore. Tuesday we traveled to Washington DC for a webcam and other interesting caches along the way. Sunday we found Jusef's Cache the oldest in Maryland, Monday we found the oldest in Delaware and some fun webcams along the beach. Now we are back in Denver and plan on geocaching our way home. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find today. No problems here.

I had a bit of trouble with this one. Mainly, my GPSr hadn't settled down when I arrived and it was pointing way out in the field beyond the fence. It also wasn't pointing to any of the hint items. After searching around a few places, it started settling closer to the fence, but not closer to the hint items. It finally decided that I should look at a "fcehpr gerr", and that's where I found it. Now I'd been looking for a micro; I generally consider a micro to be too small to hold a trackable item. Frequently I find micros listed a "small", e.g., pill bottles. This time it was just the opposite; a small container containing a trackable item, listed as a micro. So short answer... wait for your GPSr to settle down and go find the cache. TFTH.
