Wales

On September 6, 2005 I found the Rhondda cache (GCM0KE) in Wales. The cache is located on the Bwlch Mountain from where there are magnificent views of the sea on a clear day, and Nantymoel down below. It was my first cache that I found in Wales and it was also my 4,000th cache find. The photo below was at the car park that was my starting point to climb to the cache.


Today is February 3, 2007 and I am celebrating my 8,000th find. So when I spotted the sign at these coordinates, I just had to hide a cache here to remember all the fun in between.

You will be looking for a small finger size tube with just a log book to sign. Be sure to bring your own pen or pencil.

I totally went for the nearby and illegal parking (with no permit), ran to the cache, signed and ran back. I have PTSD from my previous college days where circling meter maids with their pen and pads at the ready wrote tickets to any poor illegally parked cars within 60 seconds flat. Regardless, there were lots of empty spots as it was a Saturday, and not a lot activity on campus. Cache was easy enough to find and it fills a hole for my Jasmer matrix challenge - score!

oh Mondo you're sneaky! i finally found it. i took Wales to literally. .. didn't take the cache, but signed the log. Log was a bit damp but a few moments of holding it in the sun dried it out quickly. Bring your own pen. :) ((please don't pet the mice- thx <3 the zookeepers haha. ))

Here we are on the campus of Johnson & Wales oh maybe I wasn't supposed to say that. We're out exploring castles in Denver. Treat Hall, or Centennial Hall is it as it is now called was the first building on the Colorado Women's Collegr campus built back in the late 1800s. Since Mondo's all over town we had to find one.
