This is the first hide of a new series by the Rosecrew. RC Summit Series. Each cache in this series will be hidden near the summit of a Mountain / Rock .
We will be placing more as time and weather permits.

This cache is located near the summit of Mt. Deception. You must summit the Mountain in order to find it. It is a short steep hike that requires NO equipment. Mount Deception has a prominance of about 463 feet. The cache is located at 9,366 feet elevation. There is no trail to follow so make your way up however you see fit. As always be cautious as Bears and Mountain Lions have been seen in the area.

To get to the base of the Mountain you will need a 4x4 with high clearance, be cautious in the winter as roads could be icy. We found a nice place to park on the side of "Hotel Gulch Road" at the base when placing this cache.

Signed the summit log then out to find this one. The phone wasn't keeping up with me so I checked one possible spot then another that looked real obvious with a good reading I was afraid it might be gone but I wasn't going to give up that easy and quickly I found spot 3 & viola! There it was!

Had a nice trip along the jeep road to the parking area, then up to the top. Was able to avoid anything steep on the way up, so took the same way down. Thanks for the cache!
