Country: United States | State: Colorado

Scenic view  Available at all times  Available during winter  Cliff / falling rocks  Medium hike (1km-10km)

A cache that is slightly smaller than a decon. It's fairly easy to find but hard to get to unless you have special access.
You know you want to. Well, if you needed a reason to come up here now you have it. Please rehide the container well since there a lot of muggles in the area in the summer. It is very difficult to get accurate coords in the area. The ones listed are an average of readings from several different units on different days.

If you really can't figure out a way up there email me and I can give you some possibilities.

6/15/11 Update - The original container was muggled. Other cachers left a temporary pill bottle in a new spot when they realized it was missing. I have replaced the container with something more durable but left it in the spot they chose. The cache is on the west side of a huge rock. I highly recommend you use the spoiler photos. I tried the approaches from both the north and the south. They are a little tougher than the original placement but I was comfortable with both. I changed the difficulty rating to reflect the new placement.

Congrats to FTF: titocache and chefstern

We had such a great day hiking for these! we decided this would be the special hike we would go on to get our 300th cache. :) we took the trail up from manitou, near the cog. Wow. Lets talk about a serious climb!! That was brutal, but great!! Loved that we started at 10am and still hiked in the shade the entire way up because the sun was on the other side. Perfect! This was a great place for a cache! You weren't kidding about the bat guano!!! I have never seen that much before!! Super gross! Cache was in great shape. :) our knees were totally done by the time we got back to the bottom. Not sure we could put them through that again anytime soon! Thanks again!!

Ernie66 and I checked on this one on the way up and it's in good shape. I do recommend taking spoiler photos with you...although we both got some cell reception up there.

Grateful for the spoiler photos. We were pretty tired after placing a new Cameron Cone cache (GC5HR3T) and the first cache in our Sheep Series (GC5HR41) today but wanted to log a find on 12/13/14 :-) Took TB to move along LN SLTFTC

What a nit-wit. Down at "..Poivre" the gpsr pointed straight this way... I hiked about half the distance & assumed I was beginning to crawl all over the correct rockpile to find the cache. I wasn't. I finally made it here while some Crystal Park access folks were skeet shooting off a cliff to the east, but pointed this way! They were no where near endangering anyone, but boy do those rocks sure conduct sound well !
Cache is fine & I left a TB that fits.
