I thought it was time for Estes Park to have another wherigo, so I put this one together highlighting historic people and places in the valley. Don't try to start at the cache coordinates; I only put the symbol there so it wouldn't clash with any others. You'll hit the first stop as you drive in on Hwy 36, park downtown for a walk to several more stops, then hop in the car for the last three (I'll tell you when). I recommend you pick a nice day for this one and take your time. There are other caches along the way, and some of the stops invite further exploration.

When you answer the question correctly, you'll be given the next location. If you get it wrong, you can try again. No need to go back to the beginning. And don't forget to scroll down; not all the text fits on each page.

NOTE: The cartridge will tell you when to walk and when to drive. One of the stages will charge you a parking fee if you attempt to drive there in the summer.

I had worked my way through most zones of this historic tour some while back but needed to quit because of pending darkness. Today, after icezebra11 and I hiked to Gem Lake and Balanced Rock, we stopped at the last zone to pick up the final. Thanks for a neat tour! Well put together.

Flew in from Montana Thursday night to visit family who are going camping this weekend near Estes Park. Had part of the morning to go treasure hunting so my grand nephew and I set out for the busy town - a festival was going on- so finding parking places was tough.

My grand nephew had never done a Wherigo so I thought since we were in town we would try it. Didn't realize how much traveling we would be doing for this and the difficulty of parking made it a much longer adventure----but still a lot of fun. Probably enjoyed the walking portion the most. Good workout.

Wished I had realized how many other caches we were going to be passing on our journey through Historic Estes. Perhaps next time we can come on a none festival day to enjoy the town and find the ones we walked by. Thanks for the enjoyable visit around Estes. Well done Wherigo.

I've had this Wherigo on my calendar to go after today for several months now, due to this being my only free day in a long span on the calendar. I'm glad it worked out. I spent about 3 hours on the cartridge, but found quite a few other caches and distractions along the way. It was a pretty crowded weekend in town, but I was able to get around just fine. The weather was great - much cooler than it has been the past few days, and I just got sprinkled on a little bit while on foot. There were a couple of pouring showers, but I was fortunate to be driving when they hit. Very fun to learn all this history, and I visited several places I've never been before during countless trips to Estes over the years. Nice quick find at the final. I love Wherigo caches, thanks for putting together this awesome one! Favorite point from me.

I like the WIGs which guide us through the special parts of the towns ... like this one.
Thank you and greetings from Czech Republic!

Thanks Path Pacer for this Cache. We always appreciate Cache owners for their contribution to the game.

We are on a crazy family mission to get into 5 digits for finds this year. This is find 6600 for us.

Great Wherigo and beautiful location for the final. Be ware that there is a $10 fee at one of the locations for parking. We snuck in but just be warned.

We will add more details as we go and most likely talk about our experiences on our weekly podcast

I’m working on the Wherigo now. You may want to warn people that you have to pay $10 at one of the stages.
