Needs maintenance

On the way to Mt. Esther.
This very scenic trail winds gradually up Crow(e) Gulch (they aren't consistent in the spelling; I chose the e-less variety) from the Crow Gulch parking lot at about mile marker 3 on the Pikes Peak Toll Road. It also can be intercepted by a steep climb from Mtn. Rd. and Picabo Rd. in Chipita Park. We chose the lazy way. The cache is straightforward and cannot be seen from the trail but is only 40 paces from the trail! The container is now a green plastic 5 lb coffee jar. Consider an annual pass, we're planning to bring you back up here a lot!

I was going for a different geocache today but with all the fire mitigation work up here I decided to check on this cache as I was passing it. The contents were scattered about and the logbook was ruined by snow. It needs a new lid because now it is all cracked but I did leave a napkin to write on (because I had no paper with me ) and a new pen in a small baggie in the cache and I moved it over just a tiny bit under a mess of stumps in the picture here and I will cover it with more sticks to protect more. There are several old half stumps up here so I gathered a few together for it. If anyone else is coming up it really needs a new container
and and a new log.

Found it. Contents of container still wet but the log was only slightly damp. We put a silca gel packet in there to try and dry it out. Tftc! Lovely lovely trail we've never been on before. :)

The container was open and contents scattered , all was wet. I dried it all out. Log is wet, hole in the Baggie. Dried it out and double bagged it. You should probably check on it though, cause log is damp

Found it, can was open and wet, and contents scattered. I dried it out and put all contents back in. Log was wet, I double bagged it. First bag had a rip.

Yahoo, we re-visted this cache today. Cool Thanks a bunch! It was July 2006 when I first found this cache. We were up hiking the trail with our family. They will be logging this one as a find.
