*************************************

Two Rangers wanted to infiltrate a camp of outlaws that they believe had been rustling cattle. In order to get in they had to give the correct countersign to the guard at the entrance of the camp after he gave them a sign. So they waited, hidden behind a rock near the entrance, so that they could overhear the countersign from one of the outlaws as he entered the camp.

As they waited a cowboy rode up. The guard yelled out "6". The cowboy answered "3" and the guard let him pass. They looked at each other, puzzled, and decided they had better wait until they heard another outlaw give a countersign. Just then, another cowboy rode up. The guard yelled out "12". The cowboy gave the answer "6" and the guard let him pass. So, thinking he had the countersign figured out, the first Ranger rode up to the entrance. The guard yelled out "10". The Ranger answered "5" and immediately the guard shot him dead.

Then the second Ranger, who saw the first Ranger killed when he gave the countersign, now understood what the right answer would be, whatever the guard's sign was. So, he rode up to the entrance. The guard yelled out "8". The Ranger answered "5" and the guard let him pass.

The guard yelled "7" and "16" at the next two cowboys that were allowed to pass. Replacing the zeros at the end of the posted coordinates with the countersigns these last two cowboys gave the guard will allow you to find the true cache location.

Geochecker confirmed correct coords, so set off on the hunt. Looked for over an hour but no joy. Kept getting within 2' of gz. Hopefully the torrential rains we had didn't wash it away. I'll be out to look again very soon.
