Okay I went back with a clipper and trimmed the branches around the area so it should be less spiky now with a clear path to the cache. Sadly I forgot to bring my pen this time but I did find it.

{FTF} This popped up on my way home from work and only meant a 10 minute detour so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Was able to sign a clean log at 1:01pm!

I love the drive up Deer Creek Canyon, new caches are just a bonus.
