This is in Pike National Forest, about a 4 mile (one way) trip. Requires some climbing, nothing technical, to get to cache. Spend some time looking, it takes a while to get there.
Original contents:

Fox Racing hat
dreamcatcher
dice
log book

The name says it all, and it is well worth the walk/hike/adventure. Park at the parking coordinates and take the road until you are in the forest. A no vehicles sign with a fence behind it should point you in the right direction (fence has a break for foot traffic). Take pictures, enjoy your visit, and share your fun times!!!

I will warn, this one may be difficult in snow, and for those afraid of heights!

I have been looking forward to searching for this cache for years, but thought the route in would be much more difficult. Since the closure of the forest service roads since the fire and flood, accessibility is limited to hiking or biking in from a major road. We hiked last year to the former Top of the World campground and realized this location was not much further away. Today we were looking for a dry hiking location in the muddy and very windy Spring day and this was the perfect location.

The trail itself is a closed forest service road and fairly gentle after the initial ascent. I think my GPS logged about 1000 feet in elevation gain in total. The views from the open trail are spectacular and then nice to be in the trees before the final push to the rock formations. We didn't see anyone on the trail today until the fork from the main trail to the formations where we met up with two gentlemen on a day hike. Finding the cache was fairly easy, but accessing was just a bit precarious. There seem to be some logs not from cachers but from muggles who have thankfully left the cache intact.

Thanks for placing the container here. Such a great place!

I'm a runner and a hiker, but apparently not a mountain biker, and a certain area of my anatomy is suffering from this adventure. Ernie66 convinced me that this was the best way to get to this cache, and he described this ride as "not difficult…just a lot of gently rolling hills." I have to admit that it was a lot faster than walking (but probably not running), still I was wiped out by the time we got back to the car. Spectacular rock formations! And wouldn't you know a muggle was sitting up there, about 40 feet from the cache, eating his lunch and enjoying the view. He never saw what we were up to and I'm not sure he would even care. Amazing spot for a cache and deserves a favorite point. Thanks.

As we walked up to this pile of granite, I was a little intimidated by the scrambling possibilities. In the end, it really wasn't too bad.

This was my first time through Buffalo Creek. I'll definitely bring my bike next time.

Thanks for the interesting location.

This was a fun scramble, although my arm was a little short for the retrieval and I had to sorta dive down the rabbit hole... :-O Thanks for the fun adventure!

This cache was awesome! We saw Elk tracks, Deer tracks and chatted with a local who consistently sees Mountain Lions, we didn't get to be so lucky :( I want to see one! This was a fun hike and quick find. As sassydil said, MANY signatures on it, but still there :) I did some rock climbing while in the area too for fun! Posting pics...
