You might be at your Whits End if you go to the above coordinates, but you won't be at the cache.

Nine generations ago, your ancestor Wilhelm and his sons Johann and Heinrich came over from the old country and settled in America's heartland. Along with them, they brought an old tradition of hiding a piece of paper out in the back 40 that family, friends, and neighbors could sign when they found it using various landmarks as clues.

Last year, at the big family reunion in Colorado Springs, your Aunt Mary's son David and your great grandfather Thomas' great-great nephew Ronald decided that they should bring back this old tradition. They hid a tablet of paper, took the coordinates of the location, then decided that they needed to come up with a puzzle to make it interesting. They decided to take a picture as a hint to the location and pass it out to everybody. Although nobody was able to find the hidden tablet at the reunion, it was unanimously voted to keep it hidden so that each of you could find it later once you figured out the hint from the picture. You just pulled it out again today and started to look at who was in the picture (boy how you wish that you could be the first to find):

- You
- Thomas' uncle Carl's great-great grandson Samuel
- Johann's great granddaughter Dorothea's Granddaughter Marilyn's great grandson Daniel
- Dorothea's uncle Friedrich's great-grandson Ken's grandson Jack's son Doug
- Johann's son Ludwig's grandson Albert's great grandson Keith's grandson Joel
- Daniel's sister Kelly
- Heinrich's great granddaughter Sarah's great granddaughter Mildred's youngest grandchild Tim
- Ronald's son Brett
- Doug's grandson Steve
- Joel's sister Katie
- Samuel's twin sisters Rachel and Lydia
- Your sister Dawn
- David

TFTC I came down to the Springs with nicehice to work on a few solved puzzles and new caches.
This was a very challenging puzzle. Tried a lot of different ideas and even some programs with little success. Had a lot of help from geocaching friends to finally get it to work.
This gets a Favorite point for sure.

11:00 AM Having completed our 64th Colorado county on 8/5, my wife and I are enjoying our customary 2 week stay in Divide. (I never get tired of mentioning the Colorado 64 challenge, since it it was 10 years in the making.)

Today we are driving to Denver to sign the log of the Colorado 64 county challenge. Along the way we are rounding up challenge caches, special D/T caches and other caches of interest.

This puzzle has been tormenting me for years. I finally got some help on it.

Nice construction of the cache. I signed the log. Thanks, DAJ2 and dndsterns, for the cache.

Had to ask for help with the coords from a fellow cacher. Quick find. Log was damp and covered in black mold. Replaced with new log inside a bag. SL

Out caching with Mondou2 today. The weather was sunny and the residual snow did not hinder our hunt. We enjoyed the variety of containers and placements.

Quick stop here. No problems with the cache. We signed the log.

Thank you, DAJ2, for placing this cache.

Thanks for the puzzle cache! I completely admit that I wasn't able to track down all the family members. I gave it a good effort and resorted to a couple friends. I was able to get the location and today I needed a couple short easier finds. This one looked good. Found the cache quickly thank goodness because of the rain we're getting. The cache and log were a wet mess though. I was able to sign on the driest part I could find, but it still bled. Thanks for creating this puzzle and placing this cache for us all to enjoy.
