He is risen! “And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again” (2 Corinthians 5:15). Easter 2019
I worked this line back in Summer '16 but didn't make sense of it until I got home. That's ok, now's a good time to get it since I need it for a fizzy block after getting the peppers to line up correctly couple years ago. Thanks to the master birdhouse builder for the "Duh" moment. Only 65 min hike out to the final from the eastern CCC view point pkg on Rampart Range Rd along the ridge, not stopping, and 3.95 mi roundtrip.
Great morning to get out here and hike the ridge to the end but I must go since weather is coming in over the peak. Cache is all tucked away again safely. Thanks Stern's for another fine cache and one more to add to your long list of found caches.

Hi - I made the pepper trail jaunt over a couple days recently.. A return just to "play a hunch" was necessary for signing the Scoville final... I didn't know what to do with the ingredients when the trail was complete; but some adjusting of the "recipe" yielded the "spice of life" near to where I'd failed at a hunch the first time around.
I came all the way back just for Scoville -- couldn't really make my chilies line up just where I figured they needed to... & played a hunch with what seemed better than the resources I consulted made them look !! Sure enough: El Can !! Thanks for a super hike series!!
None of the series need anything at the moment.

After the epic fail in our attempt to complete the pepper series late last fall I finally got back today & picked up the one along the road that we missed and headed back out to grab scoville. Double the work so I was a little worried about finding it. After a few minutes of climbing around I finally got the right angle & spotted the cache. Took pretty close to 3 hours RT.

Found this while out caching with THe SKuLL. It was a great day for a hike. The series took a little longer than we planned. There was some bouldering needed, but not a difficult trail. We had to use team work to grab some of the containers. TFTS

Another awesome hike out and back with the J of KJKlock. We made our way to each one, taking breaks where necessary for me to catch my breathe. I noted that I'm needing fewer breaks on the uphill slopes than I used to. Although parts of the route slowed us down quite a bit, we made pretty good time. I'm just really glad to finally get back out into nature! Got too lazy there for a while.
We had to read the logs on the last few as they started getting a little more tricky to spot. KTrackers is always a good source for the extra info. We enjoyed a good laugh over a couple of his later logs on this series. Thankfully we grabbed all of them and the final. PAF'd at the final to save some time since someone forgot what one of the clues was. We were only about 30' off, since it was a the last digit.
THanks for the fun series!

Thanks for the really fun cache series! Today I headed up the mountain to tackle this series. I did all the necessary home work and plotted out a nice path to take. I estimated 3.5 to 4 hours and it ended up taking about 4.5 hours. I started with the couple easy one just off the road and then parked just along side the road near the "trail head". From here I headed out. I found each cache easily and the coordinates were very good on this series which helped out a lot. I had talked to a previous finder to make sure everything was OK and they said it was good to go. I have to admit, I am floored thinking about what these caches went through a few years ago and how they managed to survive! I trekked through almost every imaginable terrain on our journey to the final. Each stage, especially toward the end presented a unique challenge. I particularly enjoyed the rock hopping and sharp drops! A few times I had to get the cache and bring it down to sign and gather the clues. I found signs of bears and deer in the area but never saw any wildlife. I may have been a little to loud while hiking. At one point on the way back we came across a couple downed trees and I became aware of how red everything was around us. I were standing in the middle of a slurry drop from one of the fire fighting planes! I was pretty surprised it was still there and the extent of how much was covered, ground to the tops of the trees! I rescued a couple trackables from the final and will get them along. It was a great hike through a beautiful spot with even more amazing views all around. This was a well laid out series following a tough, but reasonable ridge line. Thanks so much for all the effort put into this series and another adventure story to tell!
