This geocache is located on the High Line Canal Trail.  The High Line Canal Trail is a popular stretch of path through Denver's southside suburbs, winding for 71 miles between Aurora and Roxborough State Park.   The trail passes through many parks and is paved in Denver and Aurora but has a natural surface in South Suburban, Highlands Ranch, Chatfield, Cherry Hill and Greenwood Village.

On the north side of the trail is Windsor Gardens.  Windsor Gardens is the first active adult community in Colorado  and one of the earliest condominium complexes as well.  The community was built between 1962 and 1973.   The Windsor Gardens complex consists of 143 acres, upon which are situated 72 buildings, 2690 condominium homes, and is home to over 3500 residence.  80% of residence are home owners while 20% rent.

Windsor Gardens is one of the best kept secrets in Denver for 55+ community living.  The friendly active community will be much of the muggle activity that you will encounter on the trail.  They may be interested in what you are doing, feel free to share the geocaching experience at your discretion.  The Cache Owners (COs) are residences of the community, hope you enjoy our back yard.

The streets are Denver City owned so you may park on them.  You can temporally park in the lots (close to the cache) for the time it takes to get a geocache.  Bring your dog for a walk, and make sure you watch out for bike traffic.

Found it on a very cold day. Was able to get to it, in spite of the weather. The hint was a big help. TFTC

On a geocaching adventure this morning with my good friend, #1 Beefers, before the high winds blow into the area. #1 Beefers is good at navigating urban streets. We enjoyed the trail walk for the caches. We saw a few muggle seniors with their dogs. Very nice cache - gets a favorite point. Thanks for the placement, SPat ABQ!
