GotYour6 and I teamed up today after the Peace Love and Little Donuts event to do this Wherigo and the other nearby caches. We met Mrs. Denali who graciously gave us a tour before we began. Except for the 2 ticks I found on me, I eally enjoyed the experience. TFTC! All is well with this cache. This gets a favorite.

Fun day geocaching with PeaceLovePi. Thank you for allowing us on your property today to complete this wherigo and the other caches. We got to meet the Mrs. and had a perfect geocaching day. Thanks for placing this Wherigo cache for us to find!

I've been wanting to go after this one ever since it was re-enabled, but the weather over the past month hasn't been very conducive to caching. Today I decided to give it a shot as it is pretty nice out. A little breezy, but the sun was shining. Turns out I was following in the footsteps of the cache's namesake, as I found her name with today's date on every log. This was a neat and straightforward Wherigo, the cartridge worked perfectly for me. Enjoyed the nice walk around this beautiful property. I really enjoy WIG caches, thank you for putting together this fun adventure!

I've worked further at correcting the problem with the cartridge and have it working fine now, so go for it. I still have some slight tweaking to do with the timing of certain dialog prompts, but these slight issues do not hinder a player from moving through the cartridge from the beginning to the end point. It could be useful to have the coordinates available for each of the three grand kid caches that need to be visited, to reduce the time needed to search for each one. I want to again acknowledge the great support by Dud&Plato in helping me with some of the components of building a wherigo cartridge.

I'm enabling this so it is available to me for actual field testing of the cartridge. When everything has been proven up I will post an owner maintenance log informing interested parties that everything is "go".

I saw this cache when it was published last Monday but couldn't go after it right away. We have a sick puppy that can't be left alone very long and the amount of time it would take for me to make the drive up north and complete the cache meant I'd have to wait for a day when my wife was not working. So I let Denali41 know I'd come up on Saturday (today) and work through the stages. He let me know he had just disabled the cache due to some hiccups with the cartridge but he told me to come up Saturday anyway as the cartridge works for everything but the first zone.
After lunch today my young puppy Angel and I headed for Wellington while my wife was at home with our sick puppy Ted. The wind was really howling this afternoon and it made it very brisk out even though the temperature was in the 40s. Denali41 and his two puppies joined Angel and me while we visited the stages on the farm. It had been several months since the puppies were together and Angel really enjoyed romping with Zaba and Chimi (all three are labs) through the pastures.
Upon starting the cartridge it directed me to the second stage, skipping the first stage. All of the stages except the first one worked as designed. We would have liked to have had a nice leisurely walk but due to the chill, we progressed through the WIG quickly. After finishing up the last of the stages on the farm, and having an enjoyable visit with Denali41 and Denali50, Angel and I headed off to complete the rest of the cache. We soon arrived at GZ and made the quick find. I signed the log and placed it back in its hiding spot and then Angel and I headed back to Loveland.
Thanks Steve for creating this WIG. It is very well conceptualized and as you noted, it is very kid friendly. Best of luck getting the cartridge repaired. Even with the current glitch, it is very nicely done!!!

So as this cache was published this morning, I had it on my radar. I only had till around noon for any cache related activities, so decided to load this one up and head off. I read the write up briefly and knew the area I was headed to get started... Upon getting there, and parking I quickly checked the cache to make sure nobody else was ahead of me and saw that it was temporarily disabled! Oh no! Well, I'm here, the carts loaded up, and there are a few other caches to find along the way. May as well see what I can accomplish.
Upon loading up the actual cart and seeing where to proceed, I noticed some hiccups that must be why it was disabled. I wondered if I could ignore those hiccups and play it through the way it was intended anyways- I was here after all! The required caches and information needed to proceed where found with no problem. It REALLY is a pleasure to have a walk around this property and it's extremely welcoming to allow us cachers to come to play here a bit.
I can say the issues that this one had originally could have made it somewhat easier to accomplish, but that being said I'm glad I took the intended approach. WhereIGo's can be tricky to learn, create, and manage, so I'm really proud to see Denal41 taking it on! This one is super family friendly and I will recommend it that light from here out.
Yes, I managed to complete this one and slap my name on the blank log while disabled, but I did manage to complete it as intended, so I'll take a FTF on that note. Really excited to see another whereigo out here! Thank you for that, the welcome as a guest onto the property and the opportunity to sign a blank log.

This wherigo was just published. When I played it I discovered that I need to tweak it to resolve a problem that did not show up when I've tested the sequence before. So I'm disabling it until I resolve this little issue.
