This geocache is not located at the posted coordinates! To find the location of the cache you must first solve this puzzle.

A monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard with an infinite amount of time would eventually type any given body of text, such as Hamlet.

Imagine a library that has this book in it as well as every other book the monkey could type if it were given unlimited time. Most of the books would be complete nonsense but eventually you would find a book that contains the works of William Shakespeare. Imagine this library. Inside would be every possible combination of letters that could exist. It would have an enormous amount of rooms, each room filled with shelves and each shelf filled with books. Because every book is entirely random most of them would be gibberish, but some of the books would have recognizable words, and some of them would be copies of other books that have already been written. In this library would be every speech ever recited, the lyrics to every song, the first words you ever spoke, as well as the true story of how and when you will die. All of this would be inside the library, and all of it would be coincidental and random.

Jorge Luis Borges talks about other things you might find in this library:

"Everything would be in its blind volumes. Everything: the detailed history of the future, Aeschylus' The Egyptians, the exact number of times that the waters of the Ganges have reflected the flight of a falcon, the secret and true nature of Rome, the encyclopedia Novalis would have constructed, my dreams and half-dreams at dawn on August 14, 1934, the proof of Pierre Fermat's theorem, the unwritten chapters of Edwin Drood, those same chapters translated into the language spoken by the Garamantes, the paradoxes Berkeley invented concerning Time but didn't publish, Urizen's books of iron, the premature epiphanies of Stephen Dedalus, which would be meaningless before a cycle of a thousand years, the Gnostic Gospel of Basilides, the song the sirens sang, the complete catalog of the Library, the proof of the inaccuracy of that catalog. Everything: but for every sensible line or accurate fact there would be millions of meaningless cacophonies, verbal farragoes, and babblings. Everything: but all the generations of mankind could pass before the dizzying shelves—shelves that obliterate the day and on which chaos lies—ever reward them with a tolerable page."

Also contained in the library would be the coordinates for this geocache. Imagine trying to find that bit of meaning in a vast collection of meaninglessness. Don't worry, I'll tell you exactly where to look. If you want to find the cache you must go to this location:

You will find yourself in a hexagonal room with an entrance on one wall, an exit on another wall, and the four remaining walls covered with bookshelves. Go to the third shelf on the fourth wall. Looking for something to read? I recommend cwsqyndeffdpeenidqf. Turn to page 352.

Wow. This has been one of my favorite puzzles to solve. The toughest part was finding the mechanism to solve it! I was completely at a loss until the puzzle event last November. Thank you for this awesome idea! TFTC.

I've played around in the library quite a bit with no success in the past. I was plugging info into the wrong place. Looked at it again recently and was able to find the information. Thanks for the interesting and fun puzzle cache! SL.

Awesome puzzle for sure, gets a favorite. The name and story was familiar, but I couldn't quite get it. After a little nudge, victory! Thanks for the fun. Found with Bhob today.

Thanks tjFirey! Logged Library of Babel from a seventh galaxy using c:geo!

I loved the puzzle! I have seen a lot of puzzles now but that was new (and good). Well done. A favourite.

This is without a doubt one of the most interesting puzzles I have ever seen, and it simply blew me away how it was put together. It blows my mind that it was hidden in the way it was, and I am definitely using this for a future puzzle when we move! TFTF and favorite for sure!

FTF at 9:30 am. Interesting puzzle, I had to wander around in the library a bit, then found the right place. When it came to finding the container, I found it right off without the GPS by being in the right area to start. Will have to browse around some more to see what else is in there. TFTC and giving it a fave. SL
