Nicely done. Signed log.
Thanks magicn3 for giving me a reason to get outside. It’s always worth it when you are enjoying nature. There is nothing better than acting like a kid again, digging through weeds and climbing trees, all to sign my name on a piece of paper.
Found with Cachly for IOS.

Geocache find #884
???

Came by and checked on the cache and log. All in good order.
This cache is near a side trail from a main ski run. When there is a lot of powder in Winter, it may be easier to snowshoe to GZ.

Drove up as close as we could and then hiked to GZ. Good coords. Container and log in good shape. Nicely done.

We came out for the FTF nearby and decided to go for a longer hike uphill to grab this one. This was a tough find, we came down from above to find it. Lots of places to look but finally saw it. Thanks for placing it and for the geofun!

Wow second to find... I thought we had a tough time reaching this in the summer and that it must be easier in the winter until I read FTF's log. Still among the thickest bushwhacking I've done for a cache and the container was in the thickest part. Thanks for the adventure!

FTF !!!!! {FTF}
This ranks up there with the hardest traditional caches I've ever gone after. Heavy snow falling all day! I peeled off from my powder skiing buddies mid morning to go hunting. Set off and twice found I was in the wrong access area, and had to head back to the lift and regroup. When I get determined, I get determined - and in spite of the worsening weather, I was not going to give up easily on this prize.
I finally got to a reasonable starting point, and then the real fun began. I took one pole with me and started climbing. Found out pretty soon that the drifts were deeper than the pole (and my legs kept vanishing), so I lay flat on the snow, to spread my weight and crept up the slope, like some little mountain lion, avoiding tree wells. Eventually I got close to GZ, and started searching. Carefully. Nothing. By now, about two hours had gone by - I know, I'm pretty bad at this... but my teeth were gritted. I lay there on my back in the snow, gazing up at the falling flakes and the tree branches.
In the end, I sat up and started trying to think. I own 16 caches in Sydney. Where would I put a cache here, bearing in mind I was pretty sure what I was looking for? Ahhhhh!!!! My eyes lighted on the sweet spot. And guess what??!! Great minds think alike. There is was, with a beautiful blank log. (And this time I had brought a pen with me, so didn't need to resort to pink lipstick!!).
Getting down the slope safely, by sliding more or less on my back, was also lots of fun.
Thank you magicn3. What an adventure. Definitely worth a favourite point.
Cache on and prosper!! And what about a few more hides??!!
