Look for the Balancing rock that over looks the Ranger Station at about 8400 feet in elevation. Once you find the rock look around for the Lonely Little Arborvitae. Be Cautious when looking around, there could be a large cat watching you. The cache is a small AMMO Box that we started with a Log Book, Emergency Rain Ponchos, Emergency Blanket, and some hand warmers for those that like to look in the winter for more of a challenge. Take some time to enjoy the beautiful views and look for the wildlife in the area, there is all kinds at all times of the year.

Look at ground level across from the Arborvitae for a small overhang.

I went to the hills today with Takes the Hard Way with the intent to hike the now closed Jeep trail up West White Pine Mountain. We arrived early in the day and made our way up that trail. I'll be honest; it's a tough hike. The now un-maintained road is littered with tree fall, washouts, and other debris. We had some little ones with us, so after about a mile and a half of exhausting hiking, we stopped for lunch and agreed to head back down. It was the right decision to make. Once back near the trailhead, I headed over to search for this one. This took a bit to find too, there's lots of good places to hide things up there. Contents survivied another winter, container looks great too.

Been by this cache on the county road dozens of times and each time "i'll get it next time." Well today that day finally occurred!

parked at the barricade that is closing off White Pine Mountain road and hiked in about 550 feet (or so said the GPS). Quickly reached ground zero as seen from the main road and had to stop and think about the title of the cache.

Helps to know exactly what an Arborvitae is. Once you find that you will find the cache.

Clever! Glad I finally found this one.

Mountain Roamer and I decided to take a trip up Moody Hill today and grabbed a few caches along the way. It took us a little while to find the cache...but my persistence paid off and I finally found it! It's still there and in good shape.

Searched and searched but had zero luck. This was a fun DNF however since we climbed all over the rocks.

Out doing some easy jeeping and this cache showed up on my GPS. I know the road to West White Pine Mountain is still closed due to the High Park fire, but there were people camping near by the cache location so I decided to go after it.

My GPS was off about 25'. I just wandered around looking in spots that might hold a cache when I finally found it!

I'm still trying to figure out what the fenced area is?? Any ideas?

Thanks!
