Museum of Outdoor Art - Englewood, CO.
This is the second in a series of caches featuring the Museum of Outdoor Art created by Mr. John Madden (not the football coach) who also developed the Greenwood Plaza area. This tour of the artwork will take you on about a 1 mile walk, round trip. While you are there, notice all the other beautiful artwork and statues. This cache only highlights a few of the many pieces of art in the area. There is plenty of free parking in the area also.

1. Begin at the Cache's registered coordiates of N39 39.286 W104 59.763. What's the name of this statue?

2. Now walk to N39 39.298 W104 59.826. What is the animal depicted in the sculpture and how many turtles do you see at the base of the sculture?

3. Next find the statue at N39 39.295 W104 59.866. What is the name of the statue and what is the date of the original that this reproduction was made from?

4. The next sclupture is located at N39 39.292 W104 59.913. How many horse shoes do you see?

5. Now find the sculpture at N39 39.312 W104 59.920. Look for a survey disk near this location. What is the elevation listed on the disk? Note: You can also log Geocache GC973C while you are here.

6. Now walk to N39 39.320 W104 59.984. What is the name of the boat shown in this structure?

7. You are almost finished! At N39 39.275 W104 59.917 look southwest and you will see a walkway with numerous pieces of artwork in place. Locate the piece by Stephen Hokanson. What is the name of this piece of artwork.

In order to succesfully log this cache, please email me the answers to the questions listed above. Also, if your interested, notice all of the other pieces of artwork and sculptures around. Some are also located inside some of the buildings close by. Enjoy!

We traveled to Denver today as my brother is having heart surgery at Porter Hospital. My dad and I took a break to get some fresh air and pick up a couple geocaches. This cache was one of them. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find today. We really enjoyed all of the sculptures and art along the walk.

On this cold winter day I headed toward Golden to pock up a warm jacket. So why not geocache while Im out here. I targeted snow friendly caches because the area still has about 6 inches of snow.
What better snow friendly cache than a virtual? My phone battery died right after I gathered all of the necessary info. Thank you for a winter accessible cache!

Came down on the light rail from Westminster with geowife to grab some caches in the area and get the 2 virtuals here. Thanks for the fun and the tour of the area.

I originally wasn't going to go for this one as I thought it would take too long. Once I was here though, I realized this would all be a pretty quick walk, so I went for it. It was a pretty cool walk and I enjoyed seeing all of the art. Thanks for the cache!

Visiting Denver today and we were pleased that we came here to see the public art on display. We studied the questions and visited the exhibits. What fun we had locating them.
TFTC answers submitted.

What a nice trek though Englewood art! There are so many more pieces that aren't even covered in this cache. I came across some difficulty with the altitude question, as the benchmark is broken/chipped off in such a way that that information is no longer there.
A+ experience though, thanks for taking the time to create this cache.

On a Fall trip through Colorado doing some caching and seeing the sites. A beautiful scenic drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Visiting the downtown areas of Boulder, Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs to name a few. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the Barr trail at the Summit of Pikes Peak. It was a wonderful trip with quite a bit of caching thrown in along the way. We had a fun time walking through the area. Thanks for the fun. Answers emailed.

So much fun walking for this one. It helped us out with another cache too!

Just sent answers. Love this Virtual all the way thru and saw some really fun things. Kids had a blast playing in the water. We are also Colorado Natives and we still remember when this used to be Cinderella City!! Thanks for the fun time!!

Some may say we are crazy, but this game/hobby is one of the greatest gifts. Who doesn’t love a great scavenger hunt. Hiking, biking or driving hundreds of miles to sign our name on a piece of paper. This brings us a lifetime of joy.

Thanks for placing this cache and keeping our recreation going. SL/with PoshCacher/MagicCacher.Tftc

Caching with KSGator, Ghostiegal and Wall77. We are doing the DPL series. Had great fun and some frustrations on some, but we worked them out and made the find. Grabbed this while waiting for the library to open. TFTVC

Nice and informative walk. Interesting to see how the area has changed from the days of the old Cinderella City (once the largest mall in the country) and the Drive-in (sad to see that go). Answeres messaged to the CO. TFTC!

I am on a road trip with Boreal Walker and jREST from Minnesota to New Mexico and back meandering our way through as many counties as we could with many target caches in our sights. The weather was decent, although we did have a day that the temperatures reached 100 degrees and we were very thankful for the air conditioning the car provided. We enjoyed our journey and the many laughs along the way along with the great places some of these caches brought us to. Gets a favorite point!
Our answers have been sent. Thanks for the cache! BigSmile

Day four and our final day of our four day caching trip to CO/NE/KS. Created our final list with much more of the same type target caches and hope to get to as many as we can before turning in the rental and flying home tonight. Thanks to all the COs who placed and maintain these caches for us to enjoy. If I haven't already done so, I will be sending the answers for any caches that require them for the both of us by the end of the night when back at the hotel. Thanks!!

Thanks, Wizard1! I had fun walking around the area looking at all the sculptures. I have been wanting to do this for a long time now. Virtual caches always get a favorite point from me. I sent a message with all the answers. I drove my adult daughter to Swedish Hospital for some tests (they came out fine), and I had a few hours in the neighborhood.

Positively loved this one!! Beautiful promenade and interesting art. Kids were totally enjoying the fountain on this hot day. As we started our ramble a young man of about 10 asked us what we were doing and then proceeded to walk along with us gathering the info. (made us a little uneasy that he was so happy to tag along with no parent in sight). When we reached the edge of the circle where the fountain was he let us know that that was his established boundary and he couldn't go further. So we parted company. Saw him later enjoying that fountain and tossing a football.
We stopped briefly in the library to use the restrooms and get a cold drink. Sadly, no DPL cache there. We did note in our answers that we had difficulty with two segments. We think possibly a plaque is missing or the artwork has been replaced. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for keeping this one alive.
