 Hints

The cache is an ammo can along a ditch trail. You must use the clues to locate the base. Park at the given parking coords and go up the small trail that goes NE. All of the clues are virtual stages. The ringleader has done a good job of leaving no physical evidence. Hop in your geomobile and get on the chase. N 40 C1.C2 C3 C4 W 105 C5.C6 C7 C8. The gang has low security near the base. Do not fall into the moat. Be sure to be careful when hunting for clues. The gang may have recruited muggle-spies. Don't get caught. Good luck! FYI... there is nothing at the posted coordinates (the ones shown on the map).

I think the clue at 05 is missing, but I had enough info to make an informed decision of where the final would be. So headed out after collecting all the other clues. Looked a good bit at GZ, then found the container; oddly the log only had one signature. Thanks for the journey! #3334

Golly, I've wanted to get after this cache for a long time, but always prioritized my time in ways that kept me from working on it. Today I had some "big" plans; with the wet mountain trails and this morning's misty conditions, I made a last minute decision to change my focus to try for several caches in western Loveland. I'm glad I did, as I found three long-wanted caches with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. Zaba and Chimi experienced as pleasant a morning as I did, despite the clouds and light rain; they had a couple of nice hikes--and as Labradors, they appreciated the wet environment a lot more than I did!!

Once I coursed my way through the various virtual stages of this great multi-cache, I realized that the final stage would be at the end of a nice hike for the three of us. How true. For Chimi, it was a "first" experience. This young pup had never crossed a narrow "bridge" before. After a bit of hesitation, he scampered across it. And on the return, he acted like a professional at such crossings. Oh, my, how fast these puppies learn.

Thanks for a fine experience, Alex. Please hide some more creative caches for us!!

This was a very satisfying find. Thanks so much for it, Alex! It gets a Fav point.

I took this week off between Christmas and New Year to use up some vacation time before I lose it. My wife had to work today so after a nice Chinese lunch with her in FC I headed to the west side of Loveland to pick up a couple caches I've been wanting to get after.

I started at the far northwest Stage and worked my way toward the parking area. The area is one I've investigated before so I was pretty confident my final coordinates would be correct when I saw where my GPSr was pointing me. After a nice walk I arrived at my GZ and that's when I became pretty sure I made an error since there was very low likelihood a cache would be in that spot. So I used geosense and began searching an area that was the more likely hiding spot. With just a little looking I spotted the cache! I happily signed the log confirming I located the Runaway gang and saved America!!! I know which digit I messed up on, it's one where I did a "fly-by" and I guess the lag in the coordinate reading on my GPSr caused me to use the wrong number. Thankfully it wasn't the degree digit! BigSmile Thanks rolltitansroll!

I had been collecting the clues for this one for awhile, and decided to try and finish it. A nice walk to the GZ. Then spent a while looking for the cache. My geopartner finally spotted the little hooter. Thanks for the fun multi!
