Needs maintenance

While picnicking near or visiting Helen Hunt Falls, take an extra hour to find this ammo box.
This is a family hike. You can get very close on a popular hiking trail. The distance is about a mile from obvious parking at N 38° 47.431 W 104° 54.228 to the cache with an elevation gain of about 250 feet.

We put a few of our favorite things in the cache such as a paperbacks books, a drawing by my 5-year-old, a couple Soduko puzzles, and recipes.

 Hints

You'll want to leave the trail just after the 2nd bridge. Don’t forget that if you choose to take the Captain Jack's trail, you bypass the first bridge.

Add me to the list of DNF's. Found what appeared to be two great hiding spots.

Looked for far too long and in far too many places for this one. I was pretty dang thorough. Muggles we’re starting to look at me funny so i left after about 20 min.

Looked and looked. All over the hillside.

Boooo! DNF #2 for the day—really thought this one would be here given the recent find, but nothing in the obvious hidey holes. Did find a white pill bottle full of someone’s doobage but it was about 40’ from GZ and without a log...I can’t in good conscience claim that. Hope this one comes back; sorry we missed it.

Bunkies and I were heading up the 7 bridges trail and stopped for this cache at 9:02 am. Thanks for the cache and for making the hike more fun!

Found this cache while doing the "Let's Go For A Hike #16" event. Nicely done.

I found a tan hat right near the cache, so I placed it in the container for safe keeping. Maybe the cacher who left it behind will be able to retrieve it one day, and it will be clean and dry for them when they come back.

TFTC!

Thanks for the fun cache! The family and I were hiking to Jones Park via 7 Bridges Trail. Stopped at as many caches as we could along the way. I made my way up the hill here while the kids stripped off their shoes to play in the water! Not a surprise really. Stamped and signed the log. Replaced as found. All is well here!

A rushing mountain stream, wildflowers, mossy rocks, and western tanagers certainly are on my favorite things list. Fun little hike, but had to wait out a few muggles. TNLN

There was a fair bit of activity on the trail this weekday, but plenty of opportunity to quietly hunt for the container. Thanks for placing a cache along here.
