When I was about 6 years old, my family watched the TV version of Dragnet faithfully. However, my biggest Dragnet-related memory is of watching a Dragnet parody on Caesar's Hour, entitled Dragnyet, set in Moscow, and starring Sgt. Joe Borscht with some plot about vodka smuggling. I think Sid Caesar himself played the lead. My older brother and I absolutely loved it; even at my tender age I recognized the utter, amazing, totally inspired silliness of it. Those were the glory days, when Caesar's Hour was written by and/or starred Sid, Imogene Coca, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, and more. I SO SO wish I could give you a link to watch that show, but it probably doesn't exist any more and all I could find were some references to it, enough to know I didn't imagine it.

Anyway, dum-da-dum-dum, I listened to this radio episode, got the answer, and got the cache. It was a decent day to be out caching and running Boulder-related errands. Thanks for the cache and for stirring memories!

Figured it out the day it was published, but didn't get around to visiting until today. Also had to listen to the required portion a few times. Nice puzzle idea. Loved watching the original Dragnet on TV. All is well, SL.

Just the facts. After attending a nice event earlier this morning, we were notified of a new cache in progress. We picked up our partner in the Homicide department, Mr. Fork L Man, and proceeded to work on the clue that was left behind. Once we solved the mystery, we worked our way to the scene of the crime to try and apprehend our suspect. We made the arrest, filled out the proper paperwork and filed it back in the appropriate place. Joe Friday does it again! Keeping the game alive and making it fun!
