Fu puzzle and find

I had to go to my dentist in Boulder today, and lo and behold--the final coordinates were about 200 feet from my dentist. (There are enough dentists in Boulder that I don't think that's a spoiler.)

I don't remember listening to Dragnet on the radio, but I sure remember watching it on TV. I was young enough, though, that I definitely believed everything really was true, and that all crimes could be solved in a half hour. Especially if you put Sgt. Joe Friday on the case.

While I listened to the recording, I started nosing around after Fatima Cigarettes, which prominently sponsored the show. I came across this ad with Jack Webb, shilling for Fatima Cigarettes. Ah, it takes me back to the good old days of shameless promotion of carcinogens...!

I grew up overseas in the '50s and Dragnet was one of the few programs in English on TV. The only others were I Love Lucy and Sgt. Bilko. All 3 were shown on Monday night.

I was working the day watch out of Burglary and stopped off at a nearby bagel shop to pick up a quick bite. I happened to notice 3 perps in the process of stealing some high-end bikes, so I tailed them to their homeless camp chop shop where I proceeded to arrest them. Took them down to the station, but I heard later that the crime-friendly judge let them out on PR bonds. SL.

A fave for the idea and the container! Brilliant design.

Yay!!! {FTF} 10:50 a.m.
Just the facts. As we were bidding adieu to our Holiday company and after being newly assigned to the Burglary detail for Boulder Colorado we were notified of a new Cache in progress. After solving the clue left behind we made our way to where we believed our suspect was hiding out. Since there are so many fine agents in the GeoCache force we were surprised to find that we were first on hand to the scene. We apprehended our suspect and filled out the appropriate paperwork and then filed it back in its rightful place. Thanks once again to Joe Friday for keeping it fun. Happy New Year to all you wonderful Cachers and especially the Cache owners.
Thanks for the fun!
