This is a cache that I have wanted to place for a while now. I use the Connected Lakes Park so much it's almost blasphemous to not place one here. I thought is appropriate to put some lucky pennies in there to share the wealth to future cachers if they want a little more luck (perhaps finding other caches.) Feel free to add a little luck of your own (like a take a penny leave a penny bowl.) The cache is relatively small and does not have a writing utencil so BYOP. This cache is pretty straight forward, so once you get to the cache coordinates, put your geocaching pants on and hop to it!

I specifically put this cache in an area where you don't have to step on a fragile ecosystem. Remember, don't bust the crust (built by cyanobacteria in the soil)!

Please pick up after your dog as well. It is detrimental to the ecosystem, and picking it up makes the park a nicer place for all to enjoy!

You can get to this cache with a short walk from the neighborhood up the hill or the parking area near the park entrance.

Tried this cache two days in a row, searched and searched, can't seem to find it. There is a large pile of freshly cut down russian olive trees, wondering if it's buried under there :(
