Scenic view  Available during winter

Fondue started as a preservation method. In Switzerland cheese and bread were prepared to last through the winter months. Both became extremely hard. The solution was to melt the cheese with wine and than dip the stail bread in the warm cheese. Usually a family would gather around a communal pot for the meal.

Since I bought an Ikon Pass for next year, I was able to ski for free today at Winter Park. The 20 inches of fresh snow was on the heavy side and the skiing wasn't the best. But not too bad for May I guess. Looked for a handful of caches but only managed to spot this one. TFTC!

I've always liked this run and today it had some of the best snow on the mountain. Thanks for leading me here!

Ventured onto the Frenchman with an injured thumb and still came away with the find. We were careful to approach slowly and not overshoot (one trip down Drunken Frenchman was enough!) Camo was good, as advertised.

Found in good condition. The cache was in good condition - my skiing on the Frenchman not so much. Thanks for the cache!
