I guess you could say this has a little Christmas theme as that's when it was placed.

"The Little Drummer Boy" is a popular Christmas song.The lyrics tell the story of a poor young boy who, unable to afford a gift for the infant Jesus, plays his drum for the newborn with the Virgin Mary's approval. Miraculously, the baby, although a newborn, seems to understand and smiles at the boy in gratitude.

Not on the ground so may be OK in winter with less than 1 foot of snow.

Day 2 of my 4th annual caching trip around the US with departure from Salt Lake City, UT on March 7th. Though this trip is primarily a Geocaching and sightseeing adventure, I do plan to stop and visit family and friends in Ohio, Rhode Island, North Carolina and Texas. This year route will take me through 28 states, and I hope to find caches in at least 300 new counties.

After being stranded last night in Vail, CO due to the mutilate avalanches that closed I70, I decided to focus my attention today in the greater Denver Metro area on challenge caches and other specific caches that I need in order to qualify for other challenge caches that I previously inked the log on but did not qualify for at the time of signing.

With overcast skies and temperatures in the high 30's, today's travels only took me 276 miles. Trip to date, I have have traveled 701 miles and I won't get my first new county of this trip until I reach the Southwest corner of Nebraska tomorrow.

Still working on a county run. Today I had a few counties in south east Wyoming and across the border into Nebraska to pick up. Then I headed back to Denver for my flight back. I had extra time so I cached around the airport some more picking up a lot of Mondo caches. I signed the logs as FeatheredFriends or as "FF" on the smaller logs to save space. This was my '34th' find for today. Thanks 'Raddad637' for a fun time in the area.

Ah yes, back in beautiful Colorado with Izzifix & Harvestmoon2 for family time and caching. A couple days left until I head back to Iowa and Izzifix goes back to Switzerland.
