Palisade Mountain is quite imposing and intimidating when viewed from the Big Thompson Canyon.  Its south face is extremely steep and sports many sheer vertical cliffs.  It is a climb only for the very competent adventurer.  Don't worry, you won't need to do any technical climbing for this cache.  Simply solve the puzzle and make the hike to the final location.  The hike is not technical but it is steep and there is some scrambling necessary near the cache.  Once there, sit and admire Palisade in all its glorious luminescence and radiance.

As for the puzzle, some may wind up with their heads going in circles while others may find it easy as pie.  I hope you enjoy this one, it's my first cache.  I figured it was about time I started placing some.  Good luck and be careful.

This one is no joke. Great geocache. Loved it! I did not realize I must have cut my finger on the hike up and as I was signing the log I got a little smudge of blood on the paper. Sorry about that. Signed the log with my blood!!

Good puzzle. I'm surprised I haven't seen it before.

I researched the hike enough to know the terrain would be tough and warranted the rating, but the "hike" still was tough for me - especially after my back injury. Still it was a lot of fun and felt good to do a more adventurous and longer hike. There was some scrambling which was fun. It must have been a lot tougher in the snow. Hats off to Denali41. Great views today and warm tee-shirt conditions. I should have stopped on this one but went on to get many more whilst up in the Loveland general area, including Cache Masters - which wasn't exactly a lamp skirt park and grab.

Holy guacamole! What a bushwhack! What a scramble! What a view! Thanks, icezebra11, for a fun puzzle and an absolutely great cache. I left a small trinket in the cache that will help you "transcend" the pain of reaching this cache. Geo Gray Fox
