After a few attempts at solving this puzzle, a previous finder gave me a shove in the right direction. Enjoyed the walk to GZ. Log was wet, but we were in no hurry, so we sat around and let the log sit in the sun until it was dry.
Out and about with dustyriver this afternoon.

A bit worried when we started our search for this one - it had been almost a year since the last find. However, after searching a few minutes we made the find. Log a bit damp but singable. Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Wow, my second sleuthers cache of the day! Given my profession I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I needed a hint for the second step of the puzzle, but then again I'm used to a slightly different notation which makes a huge difference. Very nice neighborhood of the final, and for once the cache was in the first place I looked. Thanks for a puzzle that wasn't so simply stated in my case.
