Congrats to Denali41 on the FTF!

That tree sure did look lonely out there on the plains. Come find this cache and take a moment to say hi to the lonely tree!

You know I love talking about magnets but it's a pretty polarizing topic.

Today icezebra11 and I took the labs (my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo, and Brad's Angel) on the steep, challenging "hike" to the top of Alexander Peak that rises above Big Thompson Canyon. We checked on four of our cache containers along our chosen route. At the summit I phoned Denali50. While conversing with her, Brad's smart phone beeped and he checked the new message. As soon as I got off my phone he announced that a new cache had just been published, hidden due east of my home. I checked things out and put it on my "thought" list for a FTF, but didn't expect it to still be available by late afternoon when I got home. But it was! So after greeting Denali50, unloading the dogs and pack and etc. from the car off I went, hoping it had not yet been found. I made the search a lot more difficult than necessary because I adopted a standard search image for a magnetic container hidden in such a setting instead of simply opening my eyes and making a preliminary scan. Got my eyes on it and signed the log just before dusk set in on this very short day near the winter solstice. So nice to get an unexpected {FTF} this late in the year 2023. I'm pleased that TNT and DudandPlato have relocated to Wellington, because I appreciate their caches and the creativity some of them have possessed. Look forward to many more in the new year! Thanks for this year-end surprise.

Oh, the photo is marvelous. It deserves to be made into a Jigidi jigsaw cache.
