A series of full size caches + a bonus cache hidden on or near to the route of a brutal Half Marathon at Deer Creek Canyon Park.

THIS CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES

This is the bonus cache for the Deer Creek Half Series. To get the actual coordinates you will need to find all 7 Deer Creek Half caches and take a note of the coordinates that are written on the side of each cache

Official plastic ammo can hidden under a large boulder under a tree. Should be an easy find but it's somewhat of an uphill trek from the trail

This is part of a series of full size caches hidden on or near to the route of a brutal Half Marathon. There are 7 in total + a bonus mystery cache (#8). Kudos to anyone who completes in one pass while running. Coordinates for the bonus can be found by putting together the clues found on the side (and bottom) of each cache in the series. You will need to find each cache to solve the puzzle: N39 32.ABC W105 D.EFG. The logical order if you want to do in one trip is probably: #3, #1, #2, #5, #4, #6, #7, #8.

Congrats to sassydil for FTF!

 Hints

This is uphill from the trail about 75 or so meters. The trail snakes around a small narrow ravine. If you are walking downhill along the trail then it is on the left hand side. Walk up the ravine for about 75 meters and the cache is under a tree on the side of the ravine. Should be an easy find but is somewhat of an uphill trek.

I had ridden to the other caches last fall but couldn't ride to the final so I returned today sans horse to hike to it. That last push up the ravine was tough. Only 71 degrees today and some clouds but feels like 90 with humidity. Thanks for the series.

Took two trips a few weeks apart, one from west and one from east, to finish this half marathon. All caches were in good shape. The final uphill leg was "refreshing" due to the wet vegetation. Left a couple of caches behind for another visit. TFTC

This was definitely a fantastic puzzle cache! That last little bit was a crazy scramble but well worth it. Thanks for putting together a fun puzzle! The multi-lighted ball is still there (mentioned a few logs down). TFTC!

Thanks for the series...although I still have to grab #7 as I walked past it looking around! Thanks for the adventure climb...I like caches that are off the beaten path best...gets you away from the people and to some nice spots to just chill! Grabbed all trackables and will move them along! P.S. My dog Chuck enjoyed the climb too!

Got started around noon today and now it's just after 6 o'clock. I took my time, finding the caches in between the series and taking some breaks here and there. I found this one pretty easily once I got to gz. Traded trackables, discovered three others, took a wooden slide whistle and left a spinning top, a bouncy ball, a bearing ball game, a little yellow popper, and a Disney princess. While replacing I miss stepped and lost my footing and fell several feet, scraped my stomach a little bit, and dropped the cache and when I picked it up again there were lights going off inside. Some kind of special bouncy ball I think... I enjoyed the consistent quality of the containers and knowing what I was looking for. All the finds including this one were in great shape. I really liked the location of this final hide. And really enjoyed the series overall. Thank you for putting it all together and showing me some cool spots in the park! Giving a favorite for providing a lot of quality caching. Happy Easter!
