Trinidad Lake State Park

Day-use fee or Colorado state park pass required.

Long's Canyon Watchable Wildlife Area was created through a partnership between Colorado State Parks and Division of Wildlife. This area provides a remarkable opportunity for enjoying Colorado's amazing wildlife and varied habitats.

The interesting adobe structures, directly to the east of this cache are what remains of a penitente religious site. The penitentes, or Los Hermanos Penitentes, are a spiritual group located in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado with roots deep in early Spanish settlement of the new world. Please do not trespass on this Penitente site. The site is not open to public use.

Our first cache found! Had coordinates for wrong cache or would have found it right away. 21, 9, 7, 4, 2&1 yr olds enjoyed it. Thank you! Took nothing and left a trackable =)

After looking around for a while we ended up replacing the container. Enjoyed the area on my road trip through Southern Colorado with Triceclimber

After we looked for this one I read the logs and noticed that the CO was looking at replacing this back in August 2015. I don't see any note that this was ever done. We searched everywhere possible within 30' of GZ with no joy. I believe this is still missing.
