The C sisters, Rodi, Sanda and Simona are three more of my Romanian
friends. This cache is in honor of them. They are older girls and
Rodi has moved out of the children's home and is living on her own.
Sanda goes to a music school and Simona can be just plain funny!
They love to do puzzles; hence there might be a little puzzle to
part of this cache. They like adventures too; so hopefully you will
like this one!
"Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking." --Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower

This cache has a little of everything. At the first stage I think of Sleuthers; the second stage makes me think of Lord Mike and at the final I think of some devious cachers out there, hmmm...Fork L Man, Craftsman, Mondo.

Difficulty and terrain reflects the amount of thinking and walking for this cache. If you park the car at the first waypoint plan on a little over two mile round trip trek. You can shortcut back to the car or hit some other caches in the area! However, all of it is on walking paths until you get a few hundred feet from the final. And if you so choose, you can, (sigh), drive between the waypoints. Take your time, check your math and most of all have some good fun! If clues are needed they will come after FTF.

Stage 1 - The beginning coordinates take you to the first stage. When you get to the corresponding coordinates you will see a sign that tells you not to park there. So this isn’t a good place to park but it is a good place to stand. Now, take your compass, (egads! did he say compass?), or your digital compass on your GPS. Take a bearing of 21 degrees from the No Parking sign. (I used magnetic north but it shouldn’t make a big difference) Look out across the open space/soccer fields. Do you see the creature in the distance at a 21 degree bearing? (You don’t need binoculars and you should see it unless there is a blizzard or pouring rain). Name the creature that you see. I’m looking for three words.

1. Count the letters in the first word and then subtract 3; call this A.
2. Count the letters in the third word and call that B.
3. The second letter in the second word is what letter in the alphabet if the letter “a” is 1, “b” is 2, etc. Call that number C.
4. Look up in the sky. How many elephants do you see? (It better be zero; if it is other than zero please put away the pipe and come back another day). Call this number D.
5. Add the number of letters of all three words together and subtract nine. Call this number E.
6. Count the letters in the second word add three and call this F.

Correlate all numbers to the following coordinates.

N 39 55.ABC
W 105 04.DEF

Now go to the second stage which is a Rock Pile, hee hee.

Stage 2 – Welcome to the Rock Pile and congratulations on a job well done back at Stage 1. If you walked here pat yourself on the back. If you drove, I assume you have a good reason.

Look at the Rock Pile. It should be pretty clear. Do the following to get the coordinates to the final. Some steps are easy, some are tricky.

1. Add all the rocks together in the pile plus the base and let this be “U”. (Don’t count any rocks within a rock)
2. If the top most rock were a number what would it be? Let this be “V”.
3. Look for the name of the artist on the Rock Pile. Directly to the right are two shapes. Name the shapes. How many letters are in the word of the shapes? (One word, plural) Now divide by two and let this number represent “W”.
4. The second rock from the bottom has rope coiled around it. Count the rope and let this be “X”.
5. There is a band of rocks circling the bottom most rock. Add up all the rocks and double check your count. I hope you come up with a two digit number. Add the two digits together and subtract nine, now let this represent “Y”.
6. On the third rock from the top there is a rock within the rock. How many sides make up the shape that holds the rock within the rock? Let this number be “Z”.

Correlate all numbers to the following coordinates.

N 39 55.UVW
W 105 04.XYZ

CHECKSUM FOR U,V,W,X,Y AND Z IS 15 FOR STAGE 2

That’s it! Now you are ready to go on to the final. You are looking for a micro container. You may need an extraction device to get to the log. Have fun and happy hunting.

I was in the neighborhood after the event today, so found some caches. TFTH

Solved for the final a number of months ago. Today seemed like a good day to go for this one. I didn't want to battle tall grass and any hidden creatures during the summer. Found after approaching GZ from a different perspective. Everything is in good order. I really enjoyed the discovery of the WPs. Thanks for the fun search! Giving this one a favorite.

I did finally get back up here for an event and was able to finally spot the final & sign the log. This one was a tough one all around with multiple contacts with the CO.

After finishing an appointment with a client I decided to spend a little time outside since the weather was so nice. I have been working on trying to find more multi caches and wasn't far from the start of this.
At way point one I struggled seeing what I needed. I stood at that darn white sign and stared off into the distance. Nothing! How am I missing this? I decided to take a picture and send it to a buddy to see if he had a different eye than I did. He did see something I had not but it wasn't making sense for the hint. I walked around the fields looking for anything that fit. Maybe I do need binoculars or at least glasses because Others have been able to see it but not me. I sent a message pleading mercy and begging for help.

I ended up leaving and heading towards a different cache. One block away I received a message that didn't really make sense but I thought I'd give it one last stab so I drove back to take a look. Ahh! I am not that creative and clearly don't have a creative eye. I never would have noticed that on my own. Now off to way point two.

More problems! I struggled with the checksum and again reached out to a friend for help. While I was waiting to hear back from them I decided to try a different idea and was able to make it work. I guess we will try that then! Before I was heading out a message came back from a friend with same idea I had. Well that makes me feel better!

Now at way point three I was up the creek yet again. Today must not be my day! I searched around without success and left for another appointment. I had so much time and effort invested into this thing! Another message with confirmation brought me back here after meeting with my clients. After 40 minutes the second go round here I was able to score the find. Well I sure made that harder than I needed! I will be honest and say these are my least favorite hides as there are hundreds of places to hide. Perseverance paid off big time here. So glad to earn this hard smiley.

Found Comoara lor Surorile C-Treasure of the C Sisters on March 3, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.

Thank you, izyspring for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy. I look forward to finding more of your caches.

I was on a mission to find 10 multi-caches in one day for a challenge. I had started on this one but when stage 1 didn't make any sense to me I needed to move on. I contacted the CO who answered me with a hint as to what creature I was really supposed to be identifying. After I completed the multi I had moved on to I returned to this GZ and was able to then quickly answer the questions, plug in those numbers & I was off to stage 2. I was pretty confident on my answers there except for one (not the rope, I finally figured out the intent of that question, but the hint still confused me), but the checksum helped fill in the blank & I was off to the final. I looked for about 20 minutes before it just got too dark & I had to leave because I still had to find 2 more multis. BTW I was successful with a good night mulit-cache (rare) and a late night benchmark multi after the event.
Maybe there will be another event in the area & I can get back to find the final & claim my smilie.

Okay all cachers, the final has been replaced, is in fantastic order and ready to be found. Remember, that this cache takes a bit of time to solve and find. It is not your classic cache and grab.

Good luck and have fun!

Owner Maintenance 11/20/2016 By izyspring
Sorry for my neglect of this cache. Give me until Friday, November 25 to get this in order. It's too good to archive for those wanting a challenge. Thank you for the grace and my apologies for lagging in maintenance.

Cheers!

Given that there haven't been responses to the DNFs and request for maintenance, it looks like this cache is done.

Hi CO, could this cache be fixed per the previous finders' notes, or the cache be archived to let some new caches come in? Thanks!
