Merry Christmas! But the police force never takes a holiday - in fact, they are busier than usual with so many of them out searching for Mr. Borg. The coordinates seemed pretty good - my GPSr showed less than 10 feet when I finally found the well-hidden cache. Don't try to follow my tracks in the snow since they mostly go everywhere except where the cache is! TFTC!

We headed out just before noon to cache our way to the "Trivia Night with Geocachers event. We just received information of an incident about the big revolt that took place in the City of Columbine Heights, population 25,924 people. It was 2:00 pm when we arrived at the scene, the lot was empty. I exited the Geo car and made my way up a small hill and was immediately surrounded by 3 pine trees. Not locating the suspect, I made a call to a fellow detective that had been in the area earlier in the day and made contact with the suspect. He gave me enough information to put me where he had contacted the suspect. I finally spotted the suspect that was located in a shaded area just chillin. After a brief interview with the suspect and the alibi checking out, we felt that we could go ahead and sign the document to close this case. Another call? This is the 3rd one today! We still didn't get to get our donuts! Just the facts? The story you are about to hear is true. My partners and I (the squad has grown from just me and FLM and today included Roxie, geysers123 and Alpenist) are detectives who are filling in at various departments within the city. For now, we're homicide detectives assigned to the department in Columbine Valley, CO. We got a call about a "cache in progress" and since we were in the area decided to take the case. We jumped into our vehicles (we now need two) and proceeded to the location of the alleged crime. Upon arrival it appeared that everything was under control. We apprehended our cache, logged our report and filed it appropriately. Once again, heading out for donuts until our next call. Hopefully we are done with calls for today..... TFTC.

FTF at 1:17 p.m. I was looking for a geocache fairly close by and was advised that this puzzle had been solved. I'm sure the folks who walked by while I was searching thought that I was simply another Country Club member, because my sweat clothes look so neat. Nice hide. Gets a fav. TFTC
