Takes more than an hour  Scenic view  No Difficult climbing  Not Recommended at night  Cliff / falling rocks  Thorns  No Stealth required  No Park and Grab  Medium hike (1km-10km)

When I first arrived in Colorado, I was looking for a good place to hide a cache.
Imagine my amusement when I discovered a mountain top of my own.
I knew I had to put a cache there. Two years later, I’ve finally completed that quest!

Yep! It's a 5/5.

5T -- If you take the North route, for whatever reason, you're gonnna need equipment.
You can go up the South face for a much easier climb, no equipment necessary.

5D -- It's a flippin' NANO... on a mountain top... concealed within a 'SKuLL Rock' !!!

Once near GZ, there will be no technical climbing required to get to the cache.
In other words, it's not on top of those rocks.

SKuLL Rock

It was a gorgeous day for a hike on SKuLL Rock. I was accompanied by youkfish and the cache owner (THeSKuLL). Great location for a great hide.

Many thanks to THeSKuLL for taking KJKlock and I on a private tour of his mountain! What happens on Skull Mountain stays on the mountain! Cheers!

Today was our day to conquer Skull Rock and find all six of the SkuLL Rock caches!!
Unfortunately we only found five of the six. (Guess which one eluded us--ha!) We spent 45 minutes searching before heading on to the large in this series and then we were stubborn enough to return for another hour of searching. We had hoped to make this find #3800, but no joy today :O( Since we KNOW it is there, we will be back! Thanks for this fun series in such a beautiful area.

2nd stop & this one worried me the most, especially when I finally arrived at GZ. The GPS wanted to take me where I knew I couldn't go by myself so I resigned myself to look where I could. Some sticker bushes in the area did the best they could to put their marks on my legs. I had checked a couple of places with no luck & was hearing distant thunder already. I moved to spot three and said wait a minute, what's that? Sure enough it was the cache! I almost jumped for joy when I realized I didn't have to climb up here again. It took me about 20 minutes. Yee Haw!
