CONGRATULATIONS TO icezebra11 FOR HIS FTF EPIPHANY!!

I enjoy the outstanding variety of cache-finding opportunities that geocaching offers, from backcountry locations to caches placed in dense urban settings. For the heck of it, I even completed a power trail once on the Pawnee National Grassland, so I'd have a "taste" for that kind of caching, too. But my decided preferences involve remote off-trail and "lonely" caches; "golden oldie" caches that were placed during the early years of geocaching; caches having uncommon D/T star ratings; challenge caches; high mountain placements; puzzle caches; and caches found while Denali50 and I are traveling to other states or international destinations.

Some of my memorable finds are presented here.

Enjoy considering various options for determining the puzzle coordinates. One approach works very well.

By voluntarily accepting the challenge of determining the cache coordinates, you absolve me of all responsibility for any frustrations and mental anguish you may experience while determining the solution.  Be tenacious, and you should eventually hit "gold", the correct coordinates.  Use Geocheck to learn when you are there, and then go enjoy your treasure, the cache and its log book. In your Found it log, consider listing a few of your favorite cache finds!

Have fun with this puzzle. Despite the cache title, elevation has nothing to do with determining the coordinates.

This puzzle was inspired by a similar one created by FunnyNose (GC4CD8W), which I found after attending the Block Party in 2014. I recall how hard and long I worked on it, and after a couple of pushes from my brother, antlerridgeroad, I became elated when I finally got a positive on the Geocheck! Thanks, FunnyNose, for your inspiring treasure.

Found with Cache U who did most of the legwork on this one. We enjoyed the stroll to the cache through the park, and trusted the GPSr to hone in on the cache. Thanks for the fun!

Found with Sam_I_AM. I needed a push from the CO before I could finally deduce the coordinates. It's a great concept and a puzzle type that I hadn't seen before. I appreciate the considerable amount of effort that went into putting this one together. Thanks for the very intriguing puzzle cache, fav for sure!

Found with antlerridgeroad and the geopooch. This is a puzzle cache that antlerridgeroad assisted the CO on (Denali41 is his brother).

I was the first one to solve this one (see my note below) and am now the 8th to find it. As the CO noted, I had alerted him to this type of puzzle, so I deserve some of the blame/credit for it. I had noted over a year ago that he and I had traveled to many of the same areas of the world, and have logged some of the same caches, either at the same time or separately. I went through the list again, and in addition to the ten from Scandinavia that we did more or less together, we have since then (most on this trip, but one from a trip to AZ earlier this year) there have been six more that I have logged that are on his list.

Not the cache I intended to find today. Still working on my personal challenge to 'get a mystery/puzzle cache on every calendar date". Today is day # 318 out of 366. My first choice for today was 'muggle central', so this was the back-up.

I'd had this one solved for quite a while, but just never got around to finding the final. Knew the coordinates would be spot-on, and of course they were. No muggles around near the final, on a nice crisp fall day. SL.

Some of my recent memorable finds of the last month are GC3KWGJ - Lucy's Letterbox in Jamestown, NY, and GC59NMV - Compass Rose in Cape May, NJ. My most memorable in the last year was GC4W4MD- Noah's Ark Challenge: 2104 Edition in Atlantic County, NJ. Don't discount New Jersey for difficult terrain. Treks like that one make me appreciate what the first travelers to America had to go through to make paths and roads. A very creative hide was GCWKCT - Welcome to my World. Also high on the creativity scale was GC31ACY - Package Pickup.

My most memorable DNF is very recent. GC685D7 - Crestview Cemetery near Grove City, PA. To make a long story short, I broke my nose.

Thanks for a good puzzle.
