Renovated open space and fishing area in Thornton, Colorado.
This area was a fishin' hole for many years. In 2002, the City of Thornton bought the ponds. Then in 2006, the ponds were renovated and adjacent open space was added. This is a great fishing and picnic area with a handicapped fishing pier on Pond 2. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.

The cache is a comoed pill bottle container, so it will hold small trade items. Parking is available at N39° 53.084, W104° 55.889. There are picnic tables and a Port-A-Potty as well as bass fishing (15" to keep). Visit the cottonwood at N39° 53.052, W104° 55.999 to see what a lightening strike can do to one of these magnificent trees!

Last time I tried this one it proved to be missing and was replaced. Was just down the road today so gave this another look. Yep, there it was, last signed Oct 2017 first signed sometime in 2016. No need to go into scratchy pokey mess area. Coords right on. TFTC SL
