On the NW corner of a busy intersection, approach me from the east, up the stairs, between the silver lights, read the plaques.

Like out great country I've been down and refused to give up. Under my ancestors canopy; a Great General and future President of this great land started the march to freedom. Your challenge is to find out who I am, the name of the General and President and pass on the knowledge you've gained to others.

To verify that you found the scion these questions need to be answered.

  • 1. What organization was involved with this great endeavour?
  • 2. In what year did this event take place?
  • 3. The name of the scion?
  • 4. What General was involved?
  • 5. The other name for the Scion?
  • 6. How many stars are there.?
  • EMAIL the answers to Tahosa!

If you go to the second set of coordinates you should be able to find out a lot more.

After visiting our Uncle and Aunt in Fort Collins, who just celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary, we decided to grab an old Virtual cache in the area. This one fit the bill just fine. Was a little bit confused about the 'stairs' but once there, we saw the meaning. What a neat bit of history. Gets a FAV!

Filling in my Jasmer calendar and this one fit the bill. I love virtual caches as you always seem to learn something new. Thanks for maintaining this older cache and for bringing me to this really cool town. TFTC

I was in the Loveland Area and saw there were so many virtual caches to go for. I wonder how many people go right past this one without knowing the history here. Thanks for the cache and the interesting history lesson!

On a Fall trip through Colorado doing some caching and seeing the sites. A beautiful scenic drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Visiting the downtown areas of Boulder, Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs to name a few. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the Barr trail at the Summit of Pikes Peak. It was a wonderful trip with quite a bit of caching thrown in along the way. Thanks to all the CO's for all the caches along the way. Answers emailed.

    Colorado Road Trip!

Headed out for a long weekend road trip with a small number of hand picked caches. I headed south to Topeka and then to Colorado Springs, next to Cheyenne and Rapid City before heading home. I camped most of the way when I could find campgrounds. The scenery was incredible and the hikes in the mountains worth the trip. All these caches made the trip worth every minute!

I parked by the grocery store and walked across tghe street to this one and met the CO and Son here. We talked about caching and local caches for a quite some time. It was very nice to meet with both of you. I had a great time today and a great road trip overall!

Thanks Tahosa and Sons for the cache!

Out from Atlanta exploring Colorado with FLtravelers for a few days. He was able to finish all his counties, while I made more progress on the state. Lots of fun caches were found along the way, including this one.

Flew out to Denver with zanna to grab a cache in the smattering of counties I had left in Colorado. Along the route we stopped for highly favorited caches, virtuals, earthcaches, webcams, Colorado's oldest, and whatever else that looked interesting. This was certainly one of these. Great spot. Found with Sam_I_AM and HelloKitty. We all enjoyed touching a piece of history. It's too bad it's in a parking lot and not it's own little park. Thanks for setting this up!

A find with BriGuy, Liquidelle and Kennercache. BriGuy submitted answers. We always saw Broncocole leaving just as we pulled up for more of the caches that day. Could have passed him maybe, but Kennercache gets hungry a bunch . .
