This geocache will take you to a remote area on the slopes of the Grand Mesa. It is accessible by foot, horse, or motor vehicle on a very rough 4X4 road.  From Dec. 1 to May 1 the road is closed about 3 miles from this geocache to protect wintering deer and elk. Hunters some times improvise and make spike camps in remote areas where it is difficult to haul in a full camp.  Not sure if this lean-too was constructed for this purpose or not but it could have been.  

Cache should be an easy find, log with pencil, could accept small SWAG. GC is located about a mile below the new Palisade Plunge BikeTrail.
