On Thanksgiving day in 2001, I found my first geocache (Airplane Spot, GC274) while visiting my sister and brother in San Antonio, Texas . While the turkey cooked, my brother suggested we try to find this cache that was hidden near the airport. After bushwacking in circles in a field with airplanes buzzing overhead and doing the drunken bumble bee dance for at least half an hour, we shouted in joy when we found our first geocache. Such fun! That was on November 26, 2001. So it is only fitting that I celebrate this anniversary with a Community Celebration Event. Come help me celebrate all the wonderful years of geocaching fun!
This event is inside of the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and will be held out in the patio if the weather cooperates, inside otherwise. The manager will provide chairs and wait staff. You need not make a purchase to attend. Please RSVP at least one week prior to the event date and be sure to include how many will be attending in your party so I have an accurate count. Your RSVP should guarantee you and your family/friends a seat.
Please remember at this event the food and drinks will not be provided by the hosts.
If you want to eat and drink it will be your responsibility to pay your own bill.
