CONGRATULATIONS TO Team Kaiketsu FOR THE FTF!!!

THIS IS A PUZZLE CACHE. IT IS NOT LOCATED AT THE LISTED COORDINATES. Do not go there, or you’ll get very wet (or you’ll needlessly be walking on ice during the winter). Instead, read details about the cache below, have fun discovering the locations of the time pieces, and then calculate the coordinates for the physical cache.

Within the city limits of Fort Collins are numerous clocks or digital time boards that are visible and conspicuous from public roadways or sidewalks. I’ve encountered more than 20 on my routine meanderings around the city. Ten of these clocks are depicted as images through photo hot links on this cache page. Each image/clock is assigned a unique letter. You will need to find the locations of all 10 of these clocks.

After you have discovered each clock determine it’s Latitude. Then use the Latitude’s integer minutes in the simple equations below to calculate the coordinates of the physical cache container and its log sheet. For example, if the Latitude of a clock is N 40° 32.671, the number to use is “32". Do NOT round up.

PLACE LATITUDE

A = __________________________________ _______ int min

B = __________________________________ _______ int min

C = __________________________________ _______ int min

D = __________________________________ _______ int min

E = __________________________________ _______ int min

A+B+C+D+E = Y = __________

F = __________________________________ _______ int min

G = __________________________________ _______ int min

H = __________________________________ _______ int min

J = __________________________________ _______ int min

K = __________________________________ _______ int min

F+G+H+J+K = Z = __________

The coordinates for the cache are:

N 40° 33 . (Y - 164) (Y - 168) (Y-167)

W 105° 03 . (Z - 170) (Z - 165) (Z-169)

Enjoy learning more about The Choice City as you seek out the locations of the 10 clocks needed to solve this puzzle. It’s a darned nice city, and this cache will undoubtedly sharpen your familiarity with certain of its special dimensions. The cache is a medium-sized medicine vial that's been spray-painted for camo.

I extend my appreciation to DES, whose caches in the “Where Are You...” series inspired this puzzle cache. I’ve truly enjoyed the world-wide “searches” I’ve made in order to solve the puzzles in this series! He’s encouraged me to create this mystery cache, which is the first of several caches of this genre that I expect to publish for the Fort Collins area.

Some clocks were obvious. Others were not. It was great fun finding them all. Thanks Denali41 for another very fun, challenging cache. Cache is fine. Log is dry. All is good.

Much as time doesn't slow down, and sometimes tries to run away, so did this cache log! After a long hunt on the where art thou series by Denali41, decided to turn the attention to clocks. Found this one to be much faster on the solve lucky for me! Guess time was on my side. Ok ok.. that was a bad pun. Speaking of, most of the clues on this one are still in great shape, and only had to turn back to the clock a bit to be sure of some of them. Quickish find once at ground zero. Cache and log are in good shape. Thanks for yet another fun and creative one! SL

Had some extra time before work today so I headed out with Dud&Plato to grab a few caches. We solved this one a few days ago along with some of the Art series. It was a great morning to go out and grab this cache. I had a lot of fun trying to figure out where all these clocks were. Had to look back in time to confirm the location of one of these clocks since one of the signs has gotten a bit of a makeover, but I'm so used to driving by it all the time that I was pretty sure it looked like the picture in the past. Thanks for the fun adventure and great cache. SL

I stopped at the final stage this morning to confirm that it is in place and that the log paper is in good condition. I've also recently checked each clock/time structure in the series and all is A-OK.

Finally able to reach out and complete this one. Took some TIME to get it figured out and then to make the gab but finally glad to put my mark on the paper. Thanks for the great caches Denali41

I checked on the Final stage today as I was in the area doing periodic maintenance on some caches. The container is in place and the log paper is in good condition.

Teaming up with Jeffro1705, the two of us solved the puzzle. With some daylight left this afternoon and somewhat mild temperatures, I went for a short bike ride and made the find solo. TFTC!
