Say hello to a geocaching buddy as you climb up.

Fun for children. You must climb a tree to retrieve the cache. The climb is difficult. Bring something to step on or someone to help with a leg up.

Are you ready to spice up your caching? Try something different -- a night cache.

START at the listed coordinates. Approach from the parking lot -- from the north. Hold your flashlight next to your ear in order to see some of these tiny (M&M size) white or orange reflectors. Follow a trail of reflectors to the final location, which is indicated by multiple orange reflectors on the same tree.

The difficulty and terrain ratings reflect the fact that you must climb a tree to retrieve the cache. You will need to be as agile as Tarzan the King of the Jungle to climb this tree.

As you climb, say hello to this little fellow who's waiting to greet you:

This cache is on the small side of small. It's a 2" diameter X 4" tall pill bottle. You'll find the disguised pill bottle about 12 feet above the ground, where the tree forks. (For safety reasons, don't try to open it while you're in the tree. Climb down to open it.) Please replace it exactly as you found it.

You'll need to finish your caching by 10 p.m., as Anderson Park is closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day.

WARNING: Cyclists may be tempted to approach this cache via the Clear Creek bike trail. Don't. I had a discussion with a friendly Wheat Ridge police officer who informed me that the adjacent section of the Clear Creek bike trail is part of the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt -- which is closed to the public after dark. The greenbelt is patrolled by code enforcement officers after dark.

MORE NIGHT FUN: If you enjoy night caches, these are all a quick drive apart: GC1K9ZK, GC1KN66, GC1J8ZM, GC1HVQC, GC1K9EQ, GC1K85T. Make a night of it!

NOTE: I use a variety of different reflectors for this cache to make it a bit harder to follow the trail during the daytime. Remember to hold your flashlight next to your ear -- or some of the reflectors won't reflect the light back to your eyes. TIP: Don't roam the area before beginning your hunt -- or you risk finding the final WP first.

This was a group effort. This was the first of two caches that I grabbed with the group after a nearby event. It's always fun to be able to go geocaching with others who share my addiction, I mean obsession, I mean hobby.

Out caching with some folks after the local coffee event. It took a moment to spot the reflectors but we got there eventually. Thanks for the cache

I am going to be in the area later this week and part of next week and would really love to do this cache. If there is anyone that would like to join me and help with the tree climb, I could really use it. Just message me.

I love night caches! Thanks for placing this cache in this beautiful, but very dark Park. I was all alone. No Muggles. I have placed two night caches in Aurora. The container is great and the log is dry. Tftc!

Dropped off kids at the Greenday concert in Broomfield. Brought my truck and a ladder and came after the night caches while I waited to pick them up. Thanks for the fun.

Updated the trail of reflectors and replaced broken container. All's ready. Grab your flashlight and come and get it.

Found cache on ground, probably blown down during the Christmas Day windstorm. Much athleticism required to climb tree now that lower limbs have been removed. Bring a friend.

This one was a blast... And a little scary! When I got to GZ I saw some white and red reflectors... But in the woods so I walked toward them. Turned out to be a homeless encampment and what I saw were their bikes reflectors! They expressed how upset they were at me for intruding (that's the PC way of putting it) as did their dog. After kicking the dog and running away I went back to the car. As I was pulling out I saw a reflection ahead so I sat and chilled for a minute and then tried it again. As if that weren't difficult enough I then had to scale the tree alone in the dark! At 6'1" I still had a hard time lol. So fun and getting a favorite for the near miss disaster. TFTF
