Takes more than an hour  Scenic view  Medium hike (1km-10km)

When it comes to making sushi I am just a "shoemaker". A true sushi chef would study for several years just making the rice.
Just off of the trail. Waldo canyon is a great place to start.
You are looking for a large ammo can.

We enjoyed an incredibly beautiful Colorado day of hiking and caching with Kerewin0430 and her mom. DNF for us as well.

I wish I had looked closer at all the logs before coming up here. I would have brought a container with me. But after searching for a good amount of time I couldn't come up with it either. 3 Williams Kidz pictures and logs are a great description of the area.

I was hoping to get a smiley after 5 years of this one not having been found, but came up empty. I made it to GZ today, legally, as:
The Waldo Canyon Wildfire broke out on June 23, 2012. Since then, the area has been closed to hikers, including the area where this cache is. Then, on October 3, 2017, the US Forest Service issued Order PSICC-2017-22, which reopened the area for hiking, but no overnight camping or campfires. I parked north of Severy Road in Cascade at a trailhead, and hiked southeast to GZ.
I will upload several photos taken in and around GZ. I have found several of chefstern's caches, and his coordinates are always spot on. But in the past 5 years, the landscape may have changed a bit, with the exception of a few boulders that were within about 30 feet. I spent well over half an hour looking for an ammo can, or what might be left of an ammo can, and came up with absolutely nothing, using both my Garmin and the App on my phone, which were accurate to within single digit feet of each other. I will also upload the photo I took of neatly stacked rocks on a nearby downed tree, meaning that somebody has been in the area recently. It is possible they found it and removed it. Either way, I came up empty. Dang. Was also hoping to rescue the "Grumpy" TB that lesslost2 placed in the cache (it's first cache, no less) before the fire. With that in mind, I also dug around in likely hiding spots looking for any metal of any kind and came up with nothing.
Bummer.

Neatly stacked rocks near GZ

Good potential hiding spot in a boulder
Both the GPS and the APP put GZ right here
Within 15 feet of Sushi GZ incl boulders

Well hidden; good to find a old fashioned ammo can again...getting fewer and fewer. TFTC.

It's always nice to find and ammo can! I hadn't been up the "side trail" at Waldo in years. I now remember why BlackEye I love the area up here, but that loose granite coming up from the main trail is rough.

Hey, it's pretty nice up here! Dropped off one of the seven dwarfs. Thanks for making this cache a part of our day!

My GPS decided to piss me off with this one. It succeeded. Took about 45 minutes of wandering before it finally indicated the right GZ. Took Jordana's coin. TFTC

I think this was probably the wettest hiking day I've experienced in Colorado. We kept expecting the rain to let up, but it didn't. I was heading to another Pike's Cave cache and obviously couldn't pass up a chefstern cache just because of a little rain. Left a coin. Thanks!

Nice area, fine walk, cool hide. Went searching today with "Buzz Lightyear I" - the mere mention of food made me hungry, but I had a small bag of peanuts to tide me over. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !
