This is a newer trail system associated with Bayou Gulch Open Space. Official parking at this time is along Fox Sparrow Rd. north off of Bayou Gulch Rd. You can park at the dog park or the ball fields just past Sagewood Middle School. You must cross Bayou Gulch at the crossing lights just west of the intersection of Bayou Gulch & Fox Sparrow. This will be a long hike but you could ride your bike or like me, a horse, which makes it much more fun.

There are trail maps posted at every intersection along the way.

I thought this part of the trail was much different than the rest of the loop and it looked like an oasis for wildlife or my horse, Cash, and me. A good opportunity to get out of the sun on a hot day or take a break and have a snack like my horse does. But you can tell there was a small wildfire here a few years ago which burned some of the scrub oak. Maybe that's why the vegetation is so lush.

I’ve been chomping at the “bit” (that’s for the horse riders) to get back out here. What a great place to hike. TFTC

Went for a short walk today. Didn't anticipate another cacher in this area but there was apparently another cacher here earlier. Sl, thanks!

TNLNSL. This was fun, gorgeous day for a trail ride on my horse 51 degrees, slight breeze, no one on the trail but me. Nice place for a geocache.

Checked this one & sure enough it was missing (but not from the knot hole). I replaced it with a similar sized container. Hopefully this one doesn’t disappear too or I will need to archive it.

If it was in the knot hole, it’s no longer there.
