Veiwing area with parking. BYOP
West creek has cut into the Unaweep Canyon floor, exposing the water table. Water seeps from the hillside and nurtures a luxuriant biological community.
The craggy monolith and steep canyon walls on the skyline above Unaweep Seep are made up of Precambrian granite and metamorphic rock, some of the oldest rocks on earth. These rocks create the spectacular walls of Unaweep Canyon.

No GPS, No luck. After reviewing back home we discovered our error, so we'll just have to stop by again.

Hard to find GZ in this canyon - think we got to the right area but came up empty handed. There are quite a few fences...

Out looking for some caches so we can hit 500 before the grandson leaves for home in Michigan this weekend.

That one took some time. GPSr would not settle. Then there's the question of which fence? It all made sense as the GPSr finally got decisive. Nicely done.

This one is helping me raise today's overall total to 26, the number of caches necessary to turn a given square in the 366 grid a second shade darker. The first such change occurs at 11 caches, and I've already done that for the entire grid. 26 caches is a whole 'nuther ballgame. Wish me luck! And thanks for the cache!
