Traditional caching experience bringing you to north-slope of Pikes Peak and newly accessed openspace trail loops.
See Gazette Telegraph "Out There" article of 11/3/06 for area description. Newly prepared trail loops lead from trailhead at N38.55.520 W105.05.627 into just opened Catamount Ranch Resource Protection Area, the best access to Pikes Peak's northslope and Ring the Peak Trail. This is classic open space with trailhead, restrooms, trail markers, and well-built trail. Cache's location is off the lower trail for yearound access though snowpack should be considered.

As a favor to the 3 Williams Kidz, I dropped off a new cache container this morning to replace the one that went missing. I have permission from the CO to count it as a "found" and am getting a smiley face for carrying it down the trail and hiding it. It is a very nice cache and surely worth the walk.

Thanks to GraniteGrabber once again for helping us get an adopted cache of ours back up and running !
We prepped a replacement ammo can with swag, logbook, pencil, etc and she volunteered to make the hike and plant the replacement.
This one is now back up and ready for more cachers !

We were in the area to grab the final to a 10-cache mystery series we have been working on and wanted to enjoy the whole trail by stopping for all of the traditional caches as well. Gorgeous Colorado morning with perfect hiking weather.

Found this cache quickly, signed log, and replaced as we found it. All is good. Thanks for placing this cache in such a pretty area.
