Easy cache to get to. If you do not want to drive on dirt road then you can walk from paved road.
Travel about 4.3 miles south of Baggs, Wyoming into Colorado. Turn right (west) on Moffat County road #4 and travel about 3/4 of a mile. From here you can walk or turn right on a dirt oil field road. Follow your gps to old mine site.

Loved this cache. With someone from this area and they have never been here. Cache is in great shape and I loved the views from here. Thanks for the cache! Had to pick the "right" dirt road but got it on second try.

We drove my very low clearance car out to this one. Had to drive with the tire on the hump in the middle of the road but made it fine TFTC!

Logbook is in terrible shape. I've never seen anything quite like it, but the whole book is warped and stiff (and perhaps brittle). The top third of it is black (from mold and/or dirt). It needs to be replaced!

Boy, it'd been about 10.5 months since anybody'd looked for this one. I parked right off the highway, then briefly walked one dirt road until it ran out. I then backtracked and found the right road. I spent about 5 minutes at GZ, looking around, to no avail. I caved and looked for a hint, only to find that there wasn't one. So I wound up taking a closer look at a spot I'd previously checked, and there was the cache container! The log was in terrible shape - I'll send up a Maintenance alert - but I managed to make my entry on an exposed page. This was a nice little detour on a roundabout way to Salt Lake City.
