Welcome Friends!

One of my first caches to hide in my new hometown. I'm not sure how this cache will last through the winter so please "bear" with me. There is a large outer container with a smaller waterproof container inside.

** I am new to Durango and this is my first time living in the mountains. If my terrain rating needs to be adjusted please let me know. Thanks!

Sure didn’t expect to see a 9key cache this far from home. Got a number of your caches from the DFW area. Cool to see you moved here. Interesting container. Quick find. Thanks. TNLN.

I'm going to claim Father's Day privilege and post a photo that shows why we happen to be in Durango. Our son Chris was a national-class Ironman triathlete until Multiple Sclerosis hit. Several years later, he's doing fairly well, still -- a fact he attributes in part to his excellent physical condition. He decided to attempt the 930-mile Race Across the West bicycle race, partly as a fundraiser for MS research, and on his second try, he not only finished, but took third place. BigSmile Chris's crew chief, BTW -- to our right of Chris -- is our oldest son Ian.

Thanks for placing this cache close to the house we've been staying in. Cache is in good shape. I enjoyed meeting fellow geocacher Larry from Dallas here. This was, BTW, my second try for this cache. Earlier in the week, I came but was confused by the satellite image, which showed a very different nearest building. Must be an old photo.

geocaching.com said there was a travel bug in this one. No dice for me. Disapprove Just adding another to the finds count.

Found on a 10 day road trip with Mtnfrog, driving from Washington to New Mexico and back through Utah, seeking the long way home and admiring road side geology. container a little worse for wear, log OK though, thanks
