Part of a series of caches in a new area to explore. No micros and no extreme terrain, just some interesting spots and great views at the final. This container is smaller than the others but still big enough for coins and small trackables.
There are different ways to get to this area. See the first cache in the series, GC2JEV2, for helpful waypoints.

4WD Vehicle: We used estes01's jeep to drive road 318 and the ratings are based on that. The west end of road 318 is good but it rapidly becomes 4WD only.

Hiking: The area is also very accessible on foot from Mt. Herman road. It will just involve more time and effort. I would increase the terrain rating about a half star for this method. You can park on Mt. Herman road at trail 715. Follow trail 715 south and east and then follow the powerlines up to the road. The ratings also assume you access the cache from the road. If you decide to bushwack from one area to another it will be much more difficult.

CLUES: Remember to look inside the front cover of the logbook for the clues to the final cache, GC2JEVH.

Congrats to FTFs: OF-Erad, Team Redline, and Team 3BE~NG

Nice lock-and-lock! Cool little trail too. Appears to have been 4WD at some point. This one is in great shape. TFTC! #1301 (since I forgot to say #1300 in my last log).

I picked up this nice cache during a short run and recon for new cache locations near MT Herman road. I didn't mean to find caches from this series today, but during my recon I came upon terrain that matched the description for the (puzzle) final. Although the CO was helpful with saturation deconfliction, I decided it was just better to find it and make sure I would not mess something up. As standard for this CO, the caches I found today were all in pristine condition. I made a slick move and forgot to capture the hint for the final, so I had to come back after reaching the Xterra. Unfortunately, the afternoon rains and hail cut my session short, so I will have to come back another day. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache, and the series, for everyone to find, TFTC.

Thanks for the fun cache! I came out this way with CrumbCrunchers after this morning's souvenir event in Woodland Park. We had several caches planned in the area mostly on the offshoots of Rampart Range Road. This series was our goal for completion. Unfortunately we were not able to complete them. Time and tiring kiddos slowed us up a bit. We started here and worked our way back. Found this on in great shape. Signed and stamped the log, snapped a picture of the clue, and replaced as found. Fun cache in a great location. This road proved to be a great test for CrumbCrunchers Hyundai Veracruz! Handled it like a champ! (despite the fact i was holding on for dear life and saying a few silent prayers)

Some spots on this road were tricky but overall we did well with a stock suv. This is a great series of caches. Surprised at the distance off road to some though. Tftc!
